In the UK we have a show called Would I Lie To You?, where celebrity guests tell stories and the other team has to figure out if they’re a truth or a lie. And what it taught me is to be interesting, it’s not about what you’ve done, but how you recount to people what you’ve done. It’s incredible how the guests can turn relatively mundane that have happened in their life into stories which are hilarious and entertaining, without making up any of the details but just telling them in a funny way.

The same applies to you. Going to the gym, working and studying is a perfectly acceptable and normal way to spend your time. If you wanna pick up another hobby, go for it. But what you really need to focus on is how you tell girls that you work, study and go to the gym. Don’t just say ‘I work’ - say ‘I work at (idk) Taco Bell. It’s just a temp job, but it pays the bills and is fun. Like last week…[insert funny story here]’. That wasn’t an amazing example but I hope you see what I mean. Saying what you do shouldn’t just be a three word list, but rather three opportunities to mention interesting/funny things which have happened within those three areas.

I think to become a little more interesting you should try and include some cultural artistic things into your routine. What kind of movies do you like, books do you read etc.

Also get good at telling your stories with pride. Don’t just say yeah I workout. Say it with enthusiasm. Tell her a funny story about the time you got stuck under the bar on the bench because it was too heavy. Talk to her about the things you do in life with passion. You don’t have to impress her (common mistake guys make) you just have to make her smile and laugh. If she’s having fun with you, it doesn’t matter what your hobbies are, she will be into you.

If you have no passions then it’s time to start making a change. Life’s short, do what you love.

The majority of working class people are boring. Students can also be boring. Parents... Incredibly boring. As you get more and more responsibilities in your life, it becomes harder to challenge yourself and be motivated to do interesting things and be interested in things outside yourself.

Yes she was boring, but also she was trying to find a common ground between you too and it seems like you didn't take the opportunity to open up.. Movies, TV, and music are conversation topics for people who are uninterested in life (right next to the weather).

Learning how to tell a story will make you seem interesting. I'm personally terrible at it so I use a different approach. I fucking love my hobbies and sharing that with people (cooking, cocktails, board games, home stuff, e-commerce, biking, running etc). I also love hearing about what other people are passionate about or what they want to accomplish. Really dive into why people like something. How certain topics make them feel.

There’s nothing wrong with a basic life, all we need is to eat and sleep, sometimes fuck. If you’re happy with what you’re doing/feel content with the trajectory of your life then there’s no need to change. But if you are fundamentally bored with the direction you’re heading then it’s up to you to change that. Try new things, hobbies, read a ton (gives way to a multitude of ideas that have been accumulating for 1000s of years), don’t be afraid to get out there and experience life for what it can be. The bad and the good. Text this girl right now and tell her you love her. Jk but if you didn’t feel chemistry then it’s alright. Quality is so hard to find in this age, the social media age. When it’s there you’ll realize it. Don’t feel obligated to give her your time because “she’s a hot girl and I’m a guy so I must fuck her”. Fuck who you like, the random hookups are blurs in my memory. The ones I remember are the people who I actually enjoyed spending time with. Chemistry happens outside of the bedroom 90% of the time. That other 10% is great but WHAT ABOUT THE PILLOW TALK?!?
