The goal is communication, not competition. If the person you are talking to has trouble following along then you haven't demonstrated any linguistic skill. Know when to just talk and know when to woo her with words.

But also think about if you'd be happy with a woman who speaks quite differently from you.

(Sidenote: You sound like you might be an elevated version of theatre geek or the obnoxious guy who constantly does movie quotes and impressions.)

Best to use colloquial speak peppered with occasional darts of eloquence. Using too many "$10 words" (as my old english professor called them) makes you sound like a tool.

Women definitely prefer intelligent/articulate guys, but you speaking like that makes me think you might be a pretentious douche, and women hate that. Look, women are attracted to alphas - if your intelligence contributes to you being an alpha, then it's good. But if you look like a snob who is trying too hard, it is bad.

It depends on the women!

Educated women (includes selfeducation) tend to value a guy who is very articulate.

Not so educated people in general are very irretated. Obviously what humans (and other creatures) don't know irretates them. What's not common to them feels wrong.

I ask people before I get all eloquent. Seems some girls like it, while on the other hand some don't enjoy the struggle in verbosity

As with a lot of things, it depends on the type of woman you like. Artsy/Literature/Theatre girls might appreciate the eloquence and get wet on your verbosity and theatrics. Surfer girls might prefer you to just cool the fuck out and be easy.

If you prefer surfer girls, then yea you need to adapt. Or you could stay the same and learn to like opera chicks.

As long as you can do it a still be yourself (not trying), it is fine.

Striving to be articulate might be the same as striving to look muscular.

If you can pull it off effortlessly without trying, and you lose a woman on 5 syllable word, she will stop you and ask you to tone it down for her - especially if she likes you.

If you are actually intelligent, then you'll still be perceived that way if you're less verbose. Often more so if you can articulate big ideas.

A couple of things that pops into my head.

Are you trying too hard to impress her? If you're coming from this frame, then pretty much anything you do is bad.
Adapt to the situation/social calibration.

It's not the vocabulary/verbosity that makes you attractive. It's YOU that makes you attractive. If you're not already somewhat charismatic or confident or high-value in some way, then you could be the best-looking, most intelligent guy around and still not get laid.

I would avoid the kind of diction that tends to read like a work of philosophy. In my experience, being overly articulate has, in general, worked against me, and I imagine being inarticulate would as well. Again, what qualifies as being overly articulate is something you would need to discern situationally. Just listen to the diction of your target and adapt. If the target uses the word "ratchet" I would avoid descriptions of his or her "pulchritude" and speak more on that person's 'level'. It is also important to transition your diction as to avoid stark contrast.

If you're doing it to impress people, it will always make you look bad. If you drop big words and they are obviously out of context, or fail to make sense to the people you are talking to, then you also fail.

The way you've phrased your Q is also pretty weird. I don't even know if the grammar is correct - "how much of that "talent" do you want to make women perceive"

My lexicon has quite the gamut, although I come off as a pretentious douchebag. Which is why I stray away from talking like the previous sentence. Simple communication is the best. Use the words you know to convey the message you want.
