to be frank, what a lot of confident men do is they take their time, at times obviously checking out women.

I am not so confident, but that's what I've seen hotel owners and very wealthy salespeople do.

Eye contact and a smile and look away a bit later is polite, but no eye contact, and quick lookaway is kinda creepy.

STARING is bad, looking is ok. Also, if you're looking and she sees you, make eye contact and smile. If your smile is warm and you're not horrible to look at (grooming, fitness, etc) she'll probably smile back and lord knows what'll happen from there.

Its only creppy if youre shy about it. Also you need to look em in the eyes. Then walk up to em amd say hello. Its really yoir own demeanor that makes you creppy rather than your actions.

There is literally nothing wrong with looking at people you're attracted to. At all. Like, ever.

A little secret for you, we do it all the time to you too. I just think we're a lot more subtle about it. As long as you aren't invading her space, making her feel uncomfortable or going up to her when she's made it clear she doesn't want to speak, you can look.

But don't get me wrong, I said look. Staring is creepy and not okay. You see a girl you like on the train? You can look at her, appreciate her beauty and move on. If you do it again and she notices and gives you a funny/offended look back, your appreciating time is up.

But please don't just be looking at us straight faced. Smile at us, we're more than likely to smile back.

(but no winking, or full on looking us up and down, no licking lips, no wolf-whistles, no nodding to yourself, and definitely no attempting to touch us out of nowhere. You are a stranger, remember and respect that.)

If you do quick looks (and not too often), then it's ok. A girl will only feel uncomfortable if she notices you staring at her. So if you're going to stare, make sure she doesn't notice.

Like what some users stated, it depends on how you do it. I would never smile because it doesn't work for me. I look at women with a chill, neutral face as I can really get caught up in the moment. Haha Gotta go all out if that's the last time I see her.

Yes, it is creepy for the women. Particularly when it's "recurring" and you aren't approaching. Our eyes are face forward because we humans are HUNTERS. And woman getting repeatedly scoped feels hunted. Scoping them when they are clearly not seeing you doing so...well, who's to know? If you want to APPROACH, the last thing you want is for them to be aware for any extended period (more than say, 3 seconds!) that you are scoping. Just...approach!!!
