Don't ever apologize, unless you really have to. If you accidentally punch her, or you say something incredibly offensive, you can apologize. Never apologize for who you are, even if she doesn't like it.

By apologizing for being awkward you just reminded her of the worst parts of your last meeting. Next time try reminding her of the best parts.

this is such a tiny slice of an interaction so it's hard to fully analyze it.

seems like you regret saying that. it's a bit cringeworthy ill admit, so just forget it happened.

i think the strangest thing about all of this is the fact that you stayed and eavesdropped, really. not that i have any moral issue with you listening in on them, but its a reflection of your character. you may care a little what they think, but you have to make yourself move and get away and think about something else.

Something similar happens to me while i'm running social circle game - there are these girls who im FB friends with and will chat with them sometimes. I have to restrain myself from looking at their profiles constantly to see what i can glean from them (yes, even though they can't tell when you're checking them). I have to restrain myself from chatting them constantly, and by constantly I mean more than 2 times a week.

Am I going to look like a fool trying to talk to this girl? I am thinking of mentioning that I heard them poking fun..

1- no you'll be fine, and 2- NOOOOOOOOOOOO if you do that you will look like a big creeper, on top of looking needy and frail.

Female Dynamics time

Head bitch is the alpha female of the group. She does not approve of you for whatever reason, probably because your desire for Mary is too obvious. She is a ruthless social creature, and she can smell your beta tendancies from a mile away.

She controls the social dynamic whenever you're around, and sets the frame of your interactions with Mary. She allows you into her social circle because she has a "bigger is better" view of socialization and because she can clown on you to raise her own status. I'd also bet that she's not the prettiest or sexiest of her group, and she's certainly not the most wholesome. She's likely very jealous of friends who have social engagements that don't include her.

we say hi and joke around whenever we see each other

Let me guess, you are the first one to say hi when you see each other.

You probably cannot win over and neutralize the head bitch, you need to seek out Mary and game her when head bitch isn't around.

Females on Seddit, I'd love your honest assessment of my read on the female dynamics.

You have to be more bold. I could feel the fear of women oozing from your post. Engage all of them. Tell them all a good story, ignore and neg your target, don't engage her and establish a good social presence amonst all of them.

The head bitch was your pivot, so you were pretty much given an ally in the situation. Her: "say hi, mary" You: "yeah mary, say hi! so rude! :) so whats up guys? you'll never believe what just happened to me.... [story]"
