Alright Reddit, I need your take on this.

So, I had the guts to talk to the hottest girl at work. She’s been eyeing me non-stop since day one, and let’s be real — I’d look like a total bum if I didn’t at least try, right? Heart racing, no clue what I was going to say, but I went for it anyway.

We start talking, and she hits me with, “I heard you’re a player.” I joke back like, “Didn’t think you were the type to listen to gossip,” and she’s like, “Fair, I’ll make up my own mind.” We keep chatting, nothing too deep — except one thing: she straight up refuses to give me her number because she doesn’t want to make it too easy for me.

Later in the day, no run-ins, so I decide to call her office since talking at work is tricky. She brings up the player thing again, saying she sees me chatting up all the girls at the company (okay, guilty – I’m just practicing). I tell her it’s professional, and she says, “Well, you’ve got competition because another guy’s hitting on me too.”

I play it cool and say, “Since you won’t give me your number, here’s mine. Text me or don’t, but now you’ve got it.” She notes it down, and we wrap up. Just before clocking out, she rings me to say I should come by to say goodbye. I agreed, but I got stuck on a client call, so she came to my office herself to say goodbye.

It’s been 3 days now — no messages, nothing. And since I’m on vacation, it’s impossible for us to cross paths.

Honestly, I feel like she is into me, but I also get the sense she’s toying with me. What do you guys think? Got any advice on how to handle this when I get back?
