Its a good message but post covid things are… interesting socially to say the least.

Its not even about being a shut in, it is about losing social skills, so people dont even know how to communicate properly. If you ever do social game this is becoming a big issue, you need to help girls socialize with the group because by themselves they dont know what to even do anymore.

I think with some of the drama back in the middle 2010s it took a huge hit. But honestly it’s probably better if this stuff stays underground. I’ve also seen a lot of people on TikTok and instagram doing cold approach and a lot of my friends know what it is so maybe it’s making a comeback.

it never left. In fact, i'd argue that there's MORE 'coaches' and 'PUA's' (rebranded as rizz vids or whatever) than before. There's tonnes of these guys all over youtube and tiktok and insta etc. In the old days it was literally like one big company, and then just a handful of other coaches

The difference is that the marketing doesn't promise so much anymore. Because nobody would believe the claims nowadays that the coaches in the old days would tell people before they had things like youtube to prove it was nonsense

So nowadays, even most of the coaches tell you that even though they can tell you what to do and say, it won't work if you're not her type. Obviously

But that 'admission' seems to have meant that the actual hardcore insterest in pickup just isn't there anymore. (one of many examples would be RSDjeffy who recently admitted that if you approach a girl and there's not any physical attraction, then you're done. She would 'price you out' (in his words).

He'd have never ever admitted that back in the day. So the whole definition of game has changed a bit to something more realistic, but that also effects the popularity )

everyone feels like they already know waht to do and say (since game is so mainstream nowadays and teh same stuff that was taught years ago is still taught now) and since they feel that the odds aren't really tipped in their favour despite this 'knowledge', most rely on tinder etc.

Hey man I'm doing my part.

I do notice I lead by example for some guys. A lot of them can't unglue their eyes from social media long enough to notice it happening.

I think though that as more and more of the Internet gets filled with AI slop over the coming years, we'll see a resurgence in social interaction outside the home. And people going out again.

For pickup to come back, all this talk about getting laid, bodycounts and using it as a means of getting sex needs to go. It is socially repulsive to any person whos eyes see humanity instead of objects.

I find that society will accept pickup if it is used as a means to form genuine connections and to improve your social skills.

But as of the moment, is can never turn mainstream. If I post a guide on relationship skills it will barely surpass 50 upvotes, while someone else who have sex for a living gets 4000 upvotes for their guides.

Also this is not a scaleable solution. You cannot request all the men on the planet to approach thousands of women.

I think its a little sad. If we transmit the mindset instead of techniques I think this will gain better approval. But how does one cultivate the mindset without techniques?

Any difficult domain of self improvement I think will always remain niche. This is because we are dealing with very politically sensitive issues like gender dynamics, power and social savviness, which is very survival oreinted in nature.

I retired as a coach because of this. When it comes to survival, it is best not to let the coach talk, but to let reality talk. People are just too attached to their current ways for any teacher to do anything about it.

Is that to say that we should not make an effort? I dont think so. My guides are posted for free, but as a career for transforming people, its not for me.

For the community to survive, there needs to be dedicated teachers who is committed to the wellbeing of the community. These number of passionate teachers who actually know what they are doing usually dont last long, as they dont get recognition for their contribution or gets abused by ignorance not only within the community, but outside as well.

It also reflects a wider trend. I suspect 30% of the population will just give up, 40% will become couch potatoes and the remaining 30% will be shining stars. There is real struggle, but cant play music for the tone deaf!

I had a woman once tell me this, she felt that men had lost the art of reading body langauge. Knowing when something was too much too soon, knowing when a woman didnt want you around, and knowing when she was ok with you doing somethign to her.

That really put it in a different perspective. I learned that a woman willt ell you through body langauge what she is ok with you doing to her. It's about slowly creating physical touch and slowly making risky moves that show her "im into you" and see how she reciproactes. But i think men (and this has happened to me) are afraid of the pusback. Where i had to learn to not be afraid of pushback, just be respectful if it happens.

Like one time a few months ago, i saw a girl with a bottle and her group of friends. I try to get in with some type of complement or maybe joke. So i go something like "damn girl howd you get that bottle in here?" she looks at me and says something like "mind your business and leave me alone". 6 years ago, i would've spent like 6 months without appraoching because that would've embarrassed the fuck out of me. Now, i just say "cool have a fun time" and go to the next person.

From a selfish POV, no lets not bring back pick up. Less competition for us doing it. Especially important in urban areas <100,000k population.

From a societal point yes lets bring back PUA. If average healthy, socially calibrated, NT guys got into pick-up en masse, it would be over for women. No simping in DMs and on dating apps, no prolonged talking stages, no bullshit restaurant dates, no toleration of low interest. Collectively their hand would be forced to put more effort into early stage dating.

It doesn't really work though when the women freeze up and can't maintain a conversation anymore, but then they "lose interest" because there's no "chemistry." I honestly don't even know how or what to talk to modern women about anymore. Their "interests + hobbies" aren't even actual interests. Watching TikTok/scrolling IG, planning vacations and going to brunch and restaurants are not hobbies, but it seems to be all women are into.
