Mystery Methods are outdated

I think the younger generation might find it goes against social norms to have strangers talking to them as it doesn't happen often. There are 2 reasons for this:

The first reason is social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc, makes it easier to keep in contact with friends, so there's less need to meet new people to refill the number of people in your social circle. Whereas before social media you had more reason to meet new people, because it was a lot easier to lose contact with friends. Most people back then only had the phone number of a few people, and it might feel awkward to invite them out if you haven't spoken to them in a year.

But with Facebook I can have the contact details of hundreds of people there. And even if I don't see them for a year, we still interact through commenting on each other posts or msging. It doesn't feel as awkward to invite them out after not seeing them for a year, as we were still communicating. So I'm less likely to make new friends as I still have my old friends.

The second reason is that in today's world, when most people do decide they want to meet new people, dating apps and meet-up groups make it easier to find new people you share things in common with, and these people also want to meet others. Rather than talking to random strangers you share nothing in common with, and these strangers may not be in a social mood, or looking to meet new people.

Mystery Method was designed for a time before social media, dating apps, meet-up groups, etc, existed. It doesn't fit in today's world.

I dont know if i would say its outdated. A lot of pick up techniques i see now are modified Mystery techniques. I have noticed that girls more hesitant to talk to strangers now tho. Ive noticed tho that on cold approach girls need to feel comfortable with you before they give the number. Then on Tinder after like 3 messages theyll give you their number. So it is a changing system.

I actually go to the university of Miami. And Yes the mystery method does work at frat parties and nightclubs. In Miami there’s a lot of gorgeous girls with massively inflated egos, so if your not a dime like Leonardo DiCaprio you have take advantage of the fact that the girls are very gullible and load up yourself with DHVs and negs.

Models is the better book but Mystery Method was the first book that got really big and launched the community.

I have seen a few of Jack Denmo’s videos so I really want to see him at the U and see if he talks to any of my friends

I go to university in Germany and if it isn't part of the culture in the U.S. as much anymore, then it never was here at all. Going against the norm isn't anything bad I think. I would try it out and see if it works for you. I've been able to have better than expected success with women after I read mystery's book. I mainly just follow the concepts though. The lines he lists are way too corny.

I think you should read it again, and again after that.

The Mystery Method is literally every interaction you’ll have with a woman. It’s also very applicable in business. All the RSD and this guru and that dating guru are just rehashed/reworded plays on the Mystery Method or a section of it.

That’s not to say there aren’t other really excellent programs out there but they all are the Mystery Method. Ever see RSD Julien’s PIMP program? He calls it the “flow of the night.” Basically just ACS reworded.

Some programs talk more about inner game which is just the lead up to ACS. Also, once you’ve read multiple times and start to gain true understanding you’ll see that MM talks about inner game as well. It all comes back to the MM.

Now once you thoroughly understand MM and you start to see how formulaic the majority of interactions are, then you should branch off and study other programs.

I see a lot of people getting caught up on the lines etc. Don’t be so surface level. They were just suggestions at the time to get you started if you needed it. But, as with all things guys are lazy and want a magic bean solution so they don’t have to do the deep work of actually thinking.

People also get caught up on the idea of peacocking. Again, don’t be a surface level guy. Like it or not you all do it. The next time you get your haircut before going out, guess what? That’s peacocking. The next time you don’t get your haircut and decide to rock the unkempt look, guess what? That’s peacocking. The next time you’re in Saks or H&M and you buy that particular shirt because it works FOR YOU and you wear it out, guess what? You guessed it, that’s peacocking. Again, guys are lazy and don’t want to think so they see Mystery wearing the magician accessories and say to themselves, “this is ridiculous. I’m not wearing a top hat to the club or the book store or on campus etc etc.” If you read it and have a true understanding of it you’ll see that peacocking is simply wearing things that YOU like. Thinking is a rarity. Ever watch RSD Tyler’s vids and he’s wearing those cool aviator shades? Guess what? Yep...peacocking.

MM is the foundation. A very solid one at that. Read it once through. Then read it again for better understanding. Then a third time for good measure. There’s literally nothing better on the market as far as foundation. If you could only have one program on dating and relationships this would be it.

It’s pretty much all you need to be successful in dating and professional life.

So it’s against social norms to walk up to people you don’t know and talk to them? That’s sad if your generation looks down on it. I can’t imagine having to rely on dating apps or social circle to meet women
