I have a story for you, I once approached a girl who I thought was cute, I said something about what she was wearing and I was pretty nervous, but as soon as I sit down to have a chat, her boyfriend walks in and he's like twice my size!!! He looked like he could eat me, and i'm like 5'10 and go to the gym, needless to say I was out of there faster than taco day diarrhea.

Keep going. Never let one bitchy or unresponsive girl get to you or affect your outlook. One approach is a very small sample size, so approach more, and of course work on your vocal tonality (obviously, you don't want to stutter when talking to a girl).

When I do approaches similar to yours I extend my hand and introduce myself after a short pause after the opener - try that next time, and keep in mind that the opener is just what you say to start the conversation, and you have to follow through with something else after the open.

You can make it a little easier to get some confidence also, like instead of saying you find her cute, saying why you find her cute (her clothes? Hair? Idk, but it sounds more honest to her and to you).

When going out to get to know girls, start small by asking for the direction to starbucks for example. When you´ve done that for a few times and feel more relaxed and talkative you can add "By the way, you have a really nice vibe, you´re not from here right?" or something like that. If you feel to nervous, take baby steps and warm yourself up more.

Dude, you did awesome! You experienced almost the worst kind of rejection, and you made it through. You're fine! You're past the hardest part, now you just have to keep going. She was obviously not a very confident person, because confident people would never react that way. They would empathize with you and let you down easy if anything. You were the bigger person in that situation, and you grew from it. It's cringy now, but you will look back at it and laugh soon. Be proud of it. I've been through so many cringy moments like this, and it's made me a better person. Change your mindset, make your goals internal.

Wow! Now I think that lady was a bitch! She could have just said 'No/not interested' . I wouldn't have treated someone like that if I were in her place. Grumpy lady.
