approached a girl last week and got her number texted her the next day she said it was really nice to talk to me i asked her out she said she's busy then i asked her when is she free then then she said she has to travel on weeknds so i said no worries and didnt text after , thought ill text her next weeek is it fine?

or should i be texting her starting small talk or try to get to know her on text? or will that be bad ?
