All you need is to be playful, and insert some jokes. Learn some jokes/routines/scripts/gambits, Style said that whatever was funny when you were in grade seven is still funny when you are talking to a woman now: see if my hand is bigger than yours, give her a spank on her shoulder and run, bump into her while walking side by side... all sorts of silly things are still good because will change the monotony of the conversation. If you prefer a more mature attitude and conversation... well... it is possible but is not that easy.

as I’m stuck asking questions to new chicks I meet.

Describe how the convo went: what kinda questions you ask her, did it sound like you were interviewing her? Is there any good feedbacks from her answering your questions or she’s just basically listening to what you said?

Just the convos tend to go dead after 5 mins

Look when you do a cold approach your result is not measured by the minutes. So before the conversation goes dead you gotta cut it. It’s always good to always end it while the interaction is still warm instead of having to extend the convo until it becomes awkward for both of you.

I personally prefer that I’m the one who says goodbye. It conveys a subtle msg to her that you’re not needy and you are high value. You are the one who’s gonna walk away leaving her, not the other way around. Not pretend leaving (then come back) like what guys do in a bar or in a club. But really leaving her.

Just say something like “hey I gotta run, nice talking to you. I’d love to talk more. If you want I can give you my number.” After saying this, look at her reaction. If she smiles and says no then move on. No hurt feelings that means she’s just not interested. Message clearly received. It’s good that both parties don’t need to waste their time.

But if she says yeah sure or ok why not, then give her your number and ASK for hers too.

So instead of saying “CAN I have your number?” which could be translated as your social status is lower than hers, or you are the one who needs her more than she does you, you offer her yours “If you want I CAN give you my number”. In the end both of you exchange numbers anyway.

I learned this after doing hundreds of cold approaches. Just by purposely approaching a woman you practically deduct your social points/values in her eyes, right at that second: You are the one who approaches her, not the other way around. You are the one who NEEDS to talk to her, not the other way around. It’s clear that you show her your interests, and by doing all this you kinda beg for her to reciprocate. In the end asking for her numbers is not really helping your case either. The table needs to be slowly turned.
