I didn't see introductory posts under the list of inappropriate topics, so I hope this is okay.

I first got introduced to this stuff (alt.seduction.fast) by a hacker friend back in 2003. Yeah, before The Game, believe it or not. I was an undergrad at Alabama though, and since there wasn't a community there, I never really tried working on this stuff.

I really got serious when I moved to New York for law school, and ran with the NYC Crew from about 2006-2009. I wasn't among the guys who got banned from Plunge/Gansevoort, I'm guessing because I dressed like a pretty normal young professional, ordered more drinks than the rest of the group combined, and I tipped really well.

I'd become disenchanted with the Community around mid-2009. Or rather, I guess I was disenchanted with RSD. The forum had become largely the blind leading the blind and a bunch of hippy spiritualism. RSD instructors seemed like they weren't out to teach skills, but were instead just sarging AFCs to sell them products.

In late-2009 I lost my job and had to move back home to Alabama, so that was a huge setback in my life in pretty much every way, dating included.

Now I'm living in DC (North Bethesda) and am in a graduate non-fiction writing program, and I'm looking at becoming more involved with the Community again because this stuff is fun, it should be great material for writing, and because who doesn't like to get their dick wet?
