I think this isn't a strong opener because you are giving a compliment and then dismissing it and in doing so also putting your Asperger's in a negative pov. Have you got any ideas of how you can give a compliment with a positive. For instance (please forgive me if this is super cliche) but you could do something like "So I have Asperger's and naturally very detailed orientated and I must say you have so many pretty details," very cheesey I know... But I hope it shows how you can work in positive.

As someone who has high functioning autism... yeah don’t open with this. It’s way too revealing early on. Just use your normal direct opener.

Bad opener OP. I’d lead with something more confident. Put yourself in a better light and give yourself more credit. If you lead with your opener you’re immediately establishing that you have insecurities about your Aspergers. Which there’s nothing wrong with that but I’m sure she won’t see it that way. I wouldn’t even mention your Aspergers because by doing that it’s creating this identity for yourself to her that isn’t positive. Show her that your something more positive about who you are.

Bring it quite fast, but not first. What you tell first is something cool, or something you are.

Asperger is a sickness, that's not cool, you aren't a sickness. As others said, you will transmit insecurity, and girls hates insecure guys. And when they don't, they will probably hate someone saying that much that fast.

No, Asperger's Syndrome is a made-up disorder, and this is coming from someone who has been incorrectly labeled with the disorder as well. Social skills can be learned just like language, mathematics, driving a car, cooking, playing an instrument, or any other skill. Similar to ADHD, it's nothing more than a label that lazy parents put on their children who have naturally lower baseline social skills and need to work harder than the average person to learn them. But, they can still be learned, it just takes more time and effort. I suggest researching the "growth mindset" instead of attaching your entire identity to a label that is good for nothing except damaging your own self-esteem.
