Opinion on coffee dates for first dates?

When I used to date a lot, I thought coffee dates were perfect. There is less stress and commitment. In addition, if it does not work out, it does not get as expensive and you each go your way. if it works out, you transition to another place. It also quickly lets you know if the girl is more of a gold-digger since these types hate coffee dates and prefer to be taken out to an expensive restaurant. For me, its kind of how some of us Mexicans approach buying tacos from a new taco truck. We will go to a taco truck and order one taco only. Once we try it and determine that we like it, then we buy five more. Why would you make such a big investment on someone that you may not like?

I get hooked up at a bar so drinks are super cheap. However, I am not about to go out to a bar three to four times a week. There is also the chance that either her or you have too much to drink.

coffee dates are ok. meeting at a bar is much better.

guys I'm gonna reveal some gold. You can pretty much do any date that seems lame, but when the first meeting place ends and it's going well, you say, "so do you have any more time after this?" if they're like, "yeah" then you come up with a good reason to go back to your house.

Coffee dates are perfect! It’s the type of date where you two talk about yourselves and get to know each other. If it gets dull, head to the park or a movie.

Coffee dates, ice cream dates, juice dates are the best. Just make sure that you're physically escalating and make sure that the date spot is close you your house so that you can 'quickly show you something at my place' should the date go well.
