Two weeks ago, I wrote a post about being a short Asian dude in seduction (link).

One subject I didn't cover was, guys need to choose winnable venues. I've never been on Tinder but I know it's not winnable unless you're tall, white and rich.

The reason so many guys are on Tinder is, it's easy to lie in bed swiping instead of doing the real work and going out to meet in-person. I can't sympathize with guys complaining about Tinder.

You can't blame women for being shallow there. When online, they have nothing to go on except your photo and profile.

Bottom line is, guys need to get out and meet in-person and not be lazy swiping. Never assume lack of success on dating websites will be the same as doing it in-person. The vast majority of men are either married or have girlfriends -- and not all of them are tall, white and rich. Men of all shapes and sizes enjoy success in relationships.

So basically what are popular in terms of dating (i.e. physical attractiveness, height, race, etc.) aren’t predictors of long-term relationship satisfaction. Makes sense, but those “irrelevant” things are what get your foot in the door to have a LTR in the first place.

Interesting topic. One important note is that this was a survey with online sites, such as dating sites. It's in the context of what people respond to or choose with their logical minds engaged using technology, and data extracted from that.

This is much different from the real world where a women is feeling good emotions from how she feels when she's around an attractive guy. She doesn't know why she's attracted, she just is. It's not her logical mind that gets attracted, its the emotional. And that wasn't studied. You would need pickup artists or naturals that are good at game to gain insights into that.

So, these are very different things. I'd say this is relevant to online dating, but not very relevant to meeting people in person. Not saying it has no relevance, but not that much.
