I suggest you just learn an opener you can say in any situation and just say it the next time and fuck it up. You'll most likely fuck it up or sound nervous af but thats okay for the very first time. You'll see that the second time it'll be much easier and you'll come off more natural.

How often are you having that kind of negative self talk? You need to talk better to yourself. It's ok to feel frustrated and disappointed when doesn't go the way you pictured it or hoped.

Can I offer you some short term advise? Don't worry about approaching women right now, focus for a few weeks on better self talk. If we're talking in context of game, inner game is the far more important than outer game. But I also want to talk in context of self-care. That little self talk ("OH, I'm such a useless shit", "I'm such a pussy") is one of the most powerful tools your brain can offer, and you're unknowingly using it to drive yourself crazy. Instead, change the audio track to something that will help build yourself up. Do some homework on changing your negative thoughts, it won't just make you better at saying hello, it will make you a happier person.

Try simple compliments to get the whole approach anxiety thing done with. They’re sweet, easy, and quick. Usually you’re nervous because once you initiate you feel like you have to be a certain way or she might murder you with words of rejection.

The girl that sat next to you obviously wanted to talk. Why else would she sit close to you on a nearly empty bus. Read the signal. Imagine how awkward you made it by being on your phone for 20 minutes as opposed to a simple "hello", and then taking it from there.
