That's the motto of the SAS (Special Air Service). If you don't know 'em, you do now.

I wanted to share that tidbit with Seddit because of the astounding impact it's had on me.

For whatever reason, and there are probably a few, those three words motivate me beyond all the similar phrases and whatnot that I've come across... more than Carpe Diem ever did for me.

Sooo, in hopes that their motto has the same or a similar effect for maybe even a couple of you guys, I wanted to share.

Whenever AA starts up, or I just plain don't feel "into it", I tell myself: "Don't be a pussy. Who Dares Wins". I don't let myself get away with stupid excuses anymore. "Oh, that girl is really cute, but she is getting on the elevator and I am not." Guess what? Now I AM getting on the elevator. So fuckin' what if it's going up and I need to go down? It'll go back down at some point.

And this goes beyond just pickup. For me, it's to live by. For example, "Meh, I'm tired, I don't want to go to the gym. There are loads of examples.. but you get the idea.

It's been said before, and in many ways. Now I'm saying it again because it's still as Goddamn important as the first time it was said.

Get out there. Because if you don't even try, you've failed.

"Who Dares Wins"
