This post is not just for girls you want to set up a date with. This is for girls you have been with, are dating, etc. It doesn't just apply to texting either. It has to do with text based communication. Either emails, IM, dating sites, etc.

Text based communication makes it easy to say and do all sorts of stupid shit. Including posts probably similar to this one.

I am making this checklist because I tend to fuck up sometimes and it is shit I already know. I figure most of the time it is easy to know things until you are put into the field where it is actually going to be needed and the situations can fuck you.

So for a while of texting people it would be helpful to refer to a checklist. It will also slow your texting frequency down.

NOTE - This is my personal take on it. If someone has a good refute then I will edit the post. I am not God and don't claim to be one so let's do this together.

  • Did she reply to your last text? - if not then wait 3 days to ping again.
  • Did she just reply after a long period? Mirror her delay or at least wait 10 minutes before replying. There is no hurry. In 10 minutes you could have shit or been in the shower. Chill the fuck out.
  • Is the span of time it takes her to respond decreasing? - You can increase the speed of your replies to match. Let her amp up the speed, not you.
  • Are you telling this girl your feelings when you aren't dating her? - Stop that. You can do that in person when sex can be an end result of the conversation.
  • Is she not replying to date setup texts? - Stop bugging her about it. Give her space and turn up the heat. Get other girls on the line. This is going to be a long fuse situation.
  • Are you telling her something you were going to do but didn't because of a weakness you have? - Don't do that. Don't point out your flaws like that. (I did this recently as someone pointed out)
  • Are you trying to get her to do something and she seems to dodge it? - Don't push it over text. She can drop you like you never existed that way. Texting makes it easy to vanish.
  • Did she say something that you really don't need to respond to? - Then don't. It will make her uneasy and she will text you if she wants to. Pick it up later. You don't have to have the last word transmitted. It is actually best to be the first to stop talking and her to be the last person to say something. So if she says something fucked up and you have no real good thing to say? Don't say anything at all. Some things you can only make worse.
  • Remember texts are something she can save. Do you want that message you are sending saved?
  • Would you really say this in person or over the phone?
  • Don't break up with a girl in a text. That's just low. It is easy but low. Plus no breakup sex can occur in a text.
  • Did you start the interaction? - Don't text her too much. Go with the "2/3 rule". For every 3 texts she sends you, you send 2.
  • Making a date with her? - Call her. It is more personal and it is harder for her to dodge and you get a firm response from it.
  • Don't ever ask more than 1 question in a text based communication. - you will only get one answer back even if you ask a bunch of questions and it seems really weird asking too many questions. It seems reasonable maybe to you but on the receiving end it is frustrating and feels like you are being interrogated or something.
  • Don't send multiple texts in a row asking questions or she will think you are playing 21 questions and ignore you
