Soloing at a club - tips welcome!

Check out the DJ and go to a club with music of your choice like House,Trance,Top 40s
Talk to people, meet new people. Dont run the FORD on them,be fun and interesting.Open the guys. Make insta friends.
Maintain eye contact with people walking by you and smile. If they maintain eye contact and smile back pull em to dance with you.
Don't drink too much.
Remember, you are going to have fun.So have fun!

Going out alone is awesome so long as you're not self-conscious about it. Yes, people usually roll with with friends: if it comes up as to why you're out alone, it HAS to be because it's A THING YOU DO.

You can do whatever you want so long as you own it; you wanted to come out alone to meet people. You don't need a game plan, you don't need a reason to not be here with other people other then "I wanted to come out and meet some people."

You go out alone because you want to have fun. Own that, and you're solid gold.

Yep, talk to someone right when you get to the club. That helps you get the juices going. The longer you wait, the harder it is.

Try to think of it like reading Crime and Punishment or Hegel. You don't do it because it's enjoyable. You do it because it makes you a better person for having done so.

Seriously. Going solo can be okay, but big clubs are the hardest environment to do it in. Happy hours and lounges work much better for solo.

Still though, you should do it, stay for at least four hours no matter how awkward it feels, and just look at it as a learning experience and character building.

Loads of great advice here.

My contribution is that if somebody asks why you are alone, or it comes to light that you are alone, you can always say something along the lines of:

"My friends are coming later"

or

"My friends bailed early, but you guys are pretty cool, I think I'll stick around here"

Personally, the best way for me to build the energy that I need to have a good time at the club, I have to skip standing around doing nothing and just dance right away. I don't get a drink, I don't "chill" somewhere. I feel like those just give me excuses not to take action.

I go right into the middle of the most crowded section of the dance floor and groove. I don't talk to people. I don't look at people. I just close my eyes and feel it. Then, after maybe 10-15 minutes, I'm in exactly the right place to be. I'm having fun. My heart is pumping. I've got energy. I'm not self-conscious. This is the best time to be approaching people. Hell, a lot of the time, people will approach me or at least give me a very easy opportunity to approach them by making eye contact and giving me some kind of gesture, like a wave, a wink, a silly dance move, etc...
