Hi all
I'm slowly getting back into dating. Just a background on myself, I'm a guy who has just hit his late 20's. I'm currently speaking to 2 girls, one of which I've arranged a 2nd date with and the other I've arranged a first date with. Both are showing pretty high interest.
I'm reading conflicting information regarding texting girls. I've been trying to stick to 'texting for logistics only' however I'm not sure if this is 100% realistic or viable - especially when you have a girl who is initiating all the texts.
For example, I was speaking to two of my very close platonic female friends regarding this. They told me they expect contact/texting between the date, else they'd think he doesn't care or isn't interested. This sorta surprised me to an extent. I was also reading on Reddit from replies from girls, and this sentiment also seems to be prevalent - that girls expect texts in between. My ex 2 years ago also mentioned something like this - that I didn't text her as much, and she felt unwanted because of this.
My current situation
Girl 1 (Read my field report https://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/rurtko/first_date_lots_of_kissing_and_kino_she_didnt/hrbtkso/)
Met her (late 20's) at a mutual friends party, date 1 went superb. This girl is really interested (read my other post above). On Tuesday, I arranged a definite second date this Saturday at hers and said I'll bring a bottle of wine which she was happy about (she replied with 😘). I didn't not text her after this, she's not initiated further)
I was going to text her later today asking her her wine preferences, as I'm going to the store later tonight. It sorta breaks this 'lull' and is genuinely something I need to ask her about. Any opinions on this situation?.
Girl 2
Met her online (early 20's), we don't know each other but went to the same uni abroad and have so much in common. I've been texting her for 2/3 weeks. Really high interest from this one after we spoke on the phone the other day and I set a date. Things felt so effortless. Since then, she's been texting me 'good morning' each day (I'm not a big fan of this but oh well) and we text a bit (however I'm a bit slower to respond)
Issue here is due to conflicting schedules, I've arranged a date the following weekend (9 days away). On the phone, I mentioned it may be worthwhile adding it to her Google calendar - we are both busy professionals and human, people forget. She assured me she won't, and said she can't wait to see me as she has so much to tell me.
For girl 2, I don't think texting for logistics will work - she is initiating all the convos, and 'texting for logistics' may mean she thinks I'm ignoring her. Girl 1 is a bit more reserved in texts (although during our date I told her I'm not a big texter, and if I make plans into the future without texting - I stick to them)
I'm curious on what you all think on all this, and advice on how I should approach the current situation.
