The sad (or fortunate, depending on how you look) reality is that it doesn't really matter.

I've tried a lot combinations (writing nothing, writing elaborate texts, etc., etc.), right my profile text says my height (because for me it's an advantage, I wouldn't write it I was average/below average in height) and my name with a bait to google it (I write for sites like GirlsChase and want to be upfront about my lifestyle).

But yeah, in terms of matches having nothing performed just as well as the coolest profile texts I could muster - it's all about the photos in Tinder.

On the other hand, your profile text can be used to disqualify you more often than work in your advantage, so be careful.

EDIT: one profile text that did get me more messages from women (when they texted me first) than any other was "I don't put out on first meet" :)

I have "cooler than your last boyfriend" but you need the pics to pull this off (i.e. I have pics where I'm goffing off dj-ing with sunglasses). I get opened with the "so you're cooler than my last boyfriend huh" pretty regularly so your bio is not irrelevant as I see some people suggesting here.

You pics and bio should reflect how you want to be perceived by others. Want to be seen as funny? Make the bio funny. Want to be perceived as a fuckboy? Get pictures that reflect that. Once you decide on how you want to be perceived the rest will fall in line.

hang out with photographers. (or just anyone with an instagram account, really)

you'll want good photos of you, so hanging out with people likely to take them is a good idea. after a while, some of them are bound to be good.

you could also pay someone. or be a guinea pig for a photography student.

My 2 cents I do reasonably well out of tinder and find it a decent avenue to pursue dates. I ran two profiles for a while as an experiment;

One was a gym selfie though I'm transitioning from fat/ average to having a reasonable frame the other was a kitch costume get up in a shirt bow tie suspenders.

Funnily enough the costume got more matches and subsequent numbers over a 3 month period then the gym selfie (36 to 22). I figure I probably don't compare for girls who are actually going after that look/ guy however I I fucked more from the gym selfie.

I still get 2-3 numbers a week from tinder and see 1 or 2 a week for a coffee date. I would say that is good but long term I think it savages your game as you always have a shitty fall back and another shitty excuse to not approach the girl of your dreams irl.

I put a shirtless picture once after my professional photographer head shots (that I got from a groupon) weren't working and started getting matches like crazy.

I'm not even that ripped, but it worked. I'm not saying, you should do the same, but what worked here is the fact that it comes off as douchey and like I don't give a fuck, but I'm looking to fuck. After all, I'm not looking for wifey material on tinder.

So guys decided to bite the bullet and join the 21st century and get a tinder profile.

You fucked up.

I am 29 and don't find approaching girls easy, but the bulk of my friends are female so I have no issues talking to girls of any calibre.

Firstly "talking to" and "seducing" are two completely different things. Secondly if you're not at the point where you can approach girls, why are you trying to skip ahead? Are you copping out? Because it looks like a cop-out. Approaching girls is hard and scary? Yeah it is, and you don't have the right to be happy and comfortable at all times in your life. You have to choose between comfort and growth.

I never have known what to write in those kind of things which really does limit my chances.

That's because its pointless. Even if a girl does read it (and she probably won't) any potential personality, charm, wit or any other quality that a woman might find appealing about you, is not going to survive being distilled down to a profile of cold hard text. You're not going to make an impact on a girl with a profile, you can make an impression on a girl by approaching her in real life, which you apparently don't want to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make the effort to fix an area of your life that you have always struggled with instead of just avoiding it and hoping all the issues magically go away once you get to put your dick in a vagina. Because they won't.

Delete your account and talk to girls in real life, fix your shit.
