What's your default opener for situations where there isn't enough time to think and take in to account unique circumstances?

Doesn´t have to be special, as long as it breaks the ice. You can just say "Hey how´s it going?"

"Hey, I think you're cute, could I get your number?"

Simple, bold, no bullshit. Adjust as needed. For example, if they are working, hand them YOUR number instead of asking for theirs. Do not trap them at work.

I've tried a few different ones but this line always seems to get the best responses.

Edit: seems you're looking for an opener more than a closer, but you can pretty much do the same thing. "Hey, I just saw you from over there and thought you were cute, wanted to say hi." Then just go into whatever conversation thread seems appropriate, as long as she seems receptive to your opener.

I always try to ask something related to the context at hand. Just today I approached two girls going towards Santiago de Compostela (El camino) and asked what were they were doing, I've been seeing many people hiking, etc.

However, sometimes I see a pretty girl and I can't think of anything to say, So I just go and say:

"You caught my attention and so I came here to say hi!"

Sadly, it never paid off, so I need to find another default opener..xD
