What's your favorite opener.

A big disarming smile and "Hi" or "How's it going" are all you need. Openers are overrated.

I like sort of situational openers that aren't too outlandish. Two of the easiest for bars/club type areas.

I'll see a girl that's sort of sitting there bored just looking around at people aimlessly I'll walk up and say something like, "Sweet, are you people watching?" Normally always gets a laugh and then you can say, "I love people watching I'm gonna join you"

If I see two or three girls in a group that are sort of surveying the club and talking close/laughing to each other I'll walk up like we are old friends and say, "Ohhh, gossping? My favorite! Who are we talking about?". It's funny how often they will flat out tell you, "Oh, well her ex boyfriend is here with this fat girl, look over there" and just treat you like you are already an acquaintance.

Or, "Hey, how's it going?"

I'm somewhat new to the community, but I do have a favorite opener. It is EXTREMELY textbook, but it has never failed me.

"Hey guys, I need a female opinion on something. I honestly don't have a lot of time, but my friends and I have been arguing about this all day and we really need to settle this.

So I actually came here to get away from my roommate. You see, he's been dating this girl for a while and we always hang out together; we've all become very good friends. But last night, when he left the house, his girlfriend came up to me and tried to...kiss...me..."

I like it because (1) it shows preselection, (2) every girl has an opinion on this, and (3) every girl knows someone who's been there. Although openers shouldn't last for more than a minute, I find that this one always starts up interesting conversations.

I also get free negs out of it! If I hear "you should tell him", I accuse her of being the one who always destroys good relationships. If she says "you should keep it a secret", I accuse her of being the girl who can never be trusted.

BTW, I've only been sarging ~10 times, so any critiques on that opener are definitely welcome. After reading the other comments, I will definitely try moving away from canned openers entirely.
