Absolutely 100% LVM. If he wants an open or polyamorous relationship he should have sought out women who identify that way. Most men who claim to want an open relationship want wife benefits at home and the ability to have sex with whoever they want. Unless you are polyamorous this should be an immediate break up. Marriage IS off the table. He just told you he can’t commit to you, period.

One way I vet guys is asking what their thoughts on open and poly relationships are.

It's not of any value to me to be with someone who is going to want to be with others as well. So a HVM would be one that wanted to be with me exclusively.

You deserve your own man, not a public penis that you share with random strangers. This type of relationship only benefits men.

ETA: One cannot be so desperate to be married that they accept this sort of deal. If you expect monogamy in a marriage, there are plenty of men who do as well. Find one of them. You’ll also want to read the FDS handbook, especially since you posted this.

You need to work on yourself. Work on valuing yourself. Work on treating yourself in the best manner possible. Work on needing no man to sustain you. Work on sustaining yourself. Work on becoming so fulfilled and brimming with joy in your life that you don't even glance at LVM.

Him claiming and posing as being “honest (about what he wants)” might have lured you into even considering it. But it still irks me as it shows he isn’t afraid of possible ramifications of his suggestion to you. He isn’t afraid of losing you if you don’t agree to this. Worse off, he even pulled the rug under your feet for posing as if he’d wanted monogamy. Now he just shamelessly switched completely and gave his own words and actions to you in the past a slap in the face.

I assume you want monogamy. Tell him to get out of your life with his community dick.
