Unfortunately I did not follow a lot of the directions listed on the pinned post the first time. I had a shitty first marriage and my behavior and past with my current wife is bleeding into this situation.

Betrayal, lack of commitment and partnership were forefront of my last marriage, which lasted about 5 years.

When I was divorce I dated a girl who wanted nothing to do with my son, finding my ex’s actions to be horrendous toward me, thus, my son must have some of that in him. She worked in childcare at a gym for 12 years and worked as a nanny for other parents for extra income.

She told me my son was “the most difficult child” she’d ever been around, and clearly was missing attention from his mother. Who, to be fair, decided she would be the one to work and go back to school while I stayed at home. When she did come home, she was either sleeping or disassociating herself from him and I and ended up cheating on me, using the time she did have at home to workout and improve her looks to attract someone new. We were young, poor and just trying to make it. I ran my own business at home doing lead generation for small businesses to try to make ends meet while being a stay at home, miserable sap of a dad.

My ex-wife remarried a few months later, we split custody of our son 50/50 but I let my now current wife break up with me nearly 15 times and get back together with me only to arrive at the same conclusion, she simply couldn’t attach or bond to my son. I would only see her on the days I didn’t have my son.

My son was going through a tough emotional time at a young age, and I made matters worse by taking a job in a different state and giving up custody of him. My ex-wife let me off easy, knowing I put a lot of sweat equity into raising him to help her accelerate her career and did not ask for child support.

So, I moved with my now current wife at the time to a new state and told her you have to be okay with my son visiting a few times a year, and me being there for him all the way. If you can’t be involved, don’t ruin his experience with me in the brief time we have together.

Within a month of moving she asks for us to get married as we’re moving into a new house and my defense mechanisms arise from my last divorce (I was having a home being built) and I agreed to get married with the understanding that the home would be separate communal property, so she signed a form stating the home is only in my name. I had used the funds from selling my previous low income home to buy this one.

She gets pregnant days after marriage, we now have a 5-month old and she slaps divorce papers in front of me due to my defensive behavior from my previous marriage and her continual explosions prior to parenthood together.

She wants to move back to the state we were from and take the 5-month old with her and allow me visitation once a year. Wants child support and half his expenses covered. We’ve been married a year.

She does not work and has no money behind her aside from a wealthy parent willing to help her transition.

I get slapped with divorce papers the day I leave to visit my son, as she told me prior he wasn’t welcome to visit our new born because my dad didn’t immediately visit due to the heat, and he spends a lot of time with my eldest. She didn’t want him growing up seeing an unfair amount of time spent between siblings.

Trying to figure out how to protect myself and what my next steps are. My current job and the job market make the Home I’m in difficult, I make a fair amount and can’t rent this home for another year.
