Hey y’all, here’s the usual “sorry about formatting, mobile user, etc.” To start, my (27m) wife (30fm) and I separated for the 2nd and final time a couple days before New Years 2021 (her decision both times) after 2 years of marriage, together a little under 3. We tried living together for a while but it ended up not working out (for many reasons on both sides), so I ended up moving across the country (USA) back to my hometown. Also here’s an additional timeline of my moves if that provides better info!

Lived in A (got married) -> moved 3k miles to point B -> moved to A (alone, first separation) -> moved back to B (decided to work things out) -> moved back to A (second “separation”)

Even though we’re currently separated with the intention of divorce, we’re still trying to be friends, seeing as she still wants us to remain connected (because she feels we’re closely connected.) We’re still in pretty frequent communication, things like texts, Snapchats, and even playing video games together.

The problem comes with moving on. Rationally speaking I’m over our relationship, I know and understand that we just want two different things out of life. But while I say that I still find myself wondering about what she’s doing, or whether she’s starting to see new guys (even though she says she’s not looking for that due to being heartbroken over our marriage.)

I guess what I’m mainly asking is whether or not this is normal, and even if it’s not, what are some words of wisdom you can share through your experiences. Thanks!
