Well, yeah, because there are only two types of women: porn and you, the flesh and blood woman before him.

It can also be a way to get in with women who think the same way. The general assumption is that "women hate each other," so by siding with the Not Like Other Girls girl, he's confirming (what he believes to be) HER attitude about women, boosting her pickmeism.

Usually when a guy implies that to me, it's the opposite of a compliment -- because I'm "not like other women," ie his conception of The Women You Fuck, he's not interested.

i gave OLD another chance awhile back, and one man said to me that he needed me to be more confident in myself (to which i replied that i am). this came about because he tried this routine with me and i told him while i know my worth, i do not see myself as above any other women on the app. i won't find a partner by putting down other women and being a pickme, no sir.

I'm gonna have to push back on this a little bit. For example, let's say a guy's in a competitive major at uni and his number one priority is to excel in his studies to the exclusion of everything else (including romantic relationships, etc.) ... but he meets this amazing girl. In that context, I wouldn't take this comment as an insult.
