My friend has been dating a "fixer upper" man for a few weeks. Last night, he blew her off 20 minutes before the NYE party we were attending because he said he couldn't trust himself around her friends (red flag she failed to tell us). She was upset and started drinking. She was upset and hadn't eaten, so she got drunk faster than she expected.

A few minutes before midnight, he showed up drunk and attempted to get her to leave with him.

I was completely sober and pulled him aside to explain that because she was drinking heavily and could not consent, we would not be letting her leave with a guy. He became angry and said that "if she doesn't leave with me, she'll never see me again and she will be so sorry."

This guy is maybe a solid 6.5. My friend has a low self esteem and doesn't realize she's hot, but she consistently pulls 8s and 9s with manners and great jobs. I laughed in his face and assured him she won't regret anything.

He tried to go around me to grab her arm. I calmly walked up to a group of strong looking guys at the next table and explained that a man was trying to take home my friend who was too drunk to consent.

One guy immediately said, "He can't do that. That's rape."

They all went and stood, towering over this guy, and demanded he leave. When he said he was calling an Uber, they stood and waited with him to make sure he left. When my friend tried to leave with him, one of the guys helped her back to my table and offered to call us a ride so I could make sure she got home safely.

THIS IS WHAT REAL MEN DO. They literally just stood there. That was all it took to ensure a woman wasn't taken advantage of. It was such a small act and we need to accept nothing less from all men in our lives. It seemed so honorable because not enough men do it, but it needs to be the bare minimum of our own expectations.
