My mother think that supermarkets shouldn't sell alcohol because children see that adults buying it and that will put them in risk group of future alcoholism.

I argue: "But mom, doesn't people have their own free will? They want to buy the buy it, if they don't want it they don't. It is not like some unknown force make them put the bottle in the basket, it is their conscious choice " My mom is stubborn, she is 60.

I want to talk about lying to yourself and putting responsibility on everyone except your shoulders.

Women that stay in toxic relationship have secondary benefits from it. They might even get be physically abused but they know or subconsciously know what they getting from it.

"He accepts me, i might be alone for the rest of my life if i leave him, I don't want to move out and live alone, then i have to work harder and make decisions"

It is hard to be honest with people, but at least be 100% honest with yourself. We is all we have. People leave. And all that stay is us. We should love ourselves.

About alcoholism. My father is alcoholic that's why my mother has such a strong opinion. I have seen him drink every week during ten years until I move out.

Does it put me in risk group? No. I drink maybe two times a year because i don't like alcohol. It makes me sleepy. I have different things that make my head spin, my hobby for example.

People make their own decisions every day. And the ones that don't want to do that, have someone who make decisions for them.
