1.) you’re getting too attached! Don’t put all your eggs in one basket because it almost always leads in disappointment

2.) be yourself! Don’t worry about if he’s going to like you or not. All you need to worry about is if you like him!

3.) be positive and don’t overshare

Happy for you. Even if you’re not that HV yet, it’s possible to give the impression that you are. First, try to keep as quiet as possible during the date—he asked you out, that means he’s already interested. There’s no need to work so hard to entertain him. No personal talk about exes and being hurt in the past! If asked about why you broke up, just say that it didn’t work out and it’s for the best. Be pleasant but slightly aloof. Leave after 2 hours, best to leave him wanting for more.

HVMs are typically well-cultivated people. If they’re interested in something, they go all in (e.g. if they’re into health, they work out every day). They have a “thing”—something they’re passionate about or enjoy doing that is unique to them (e.g. piano-playing, football, collecting watches, etc.). They spend their day doing productive things.

What are you passionate about? What’s unique to you? Find it and cultivate it. On the date, make sure to highlight your “thing” (when asked anyway)
