So I know the bar is on the floor for a lot of women, but I already had pretty high expectations prior to FDS even if I was a total pickme. FDS only raised these standards when I realized I could happily be single for the rest of my life. I’m accustomed to a certain lifestyle and I’m not willing to downgrade for a man. So here is what I expect of a guy, please tell me if you guys think it’s too much.

-He pays for dates and trips. I don’t want to financially contribute to anything until the wedding.

-Dinner dates weekly (but the perfect man would take me out twice a week.)

-Trips at least twice a year but ideally seasonally.

-Simple text before 2pm everyday to see how my day is going.

-Calls 3-4 times a week. Short 10-15 minute check in.

Them being a good, kind, thoughtful person to whom I am attracted has always been a given. The hard part is you can go on dates/trips with a guy and at some point he wants to stop paying. I don’t want to accept that and am happy to leave if my standards aren’t being met. I’d rather be alone than with a man who doesn’t financially invest in me and if he won’t from the beginning I doubt things will magically turn around later on.

For clarity, I take myself out to dinner and go on trips with this frequency already which is why expect the man in my life to be able to provide that for me if I let him in. Curious for your thoughts, am I asking for too much?
