I’m sorry I keep posting passages from the same book! This is from “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle and it’s a passage on advice she gave to another mom who was worried that her middle school aged son was looking at porn on his phone. She really hit the nail on the head and I immediately thought of FDS’ perspective when I read it.

I really feel for mothers who are in this position. I know that when I was in grade school, the boys would go to the friend’s house where no parents were home and then take turns watching porn on the family computer. And once color phones became a thing, I stopped finding playboys hidden in the playgrounds because every guy had videos on his phone instead. You can tell a young man to make good decisions and explain exactly why his decisions are bad, but this stuff is just too addictive for a child. I’m interested, have any mothers on here dealt with this with their own sons?

I think porn addiction is just a man's problem. I grew up watching porn and I don't have an addiction. I just preferred Tumblr more back in the day because it had gifs of the parts I wanted to see without having to look for it in the video. Lol Rarely watched it when with my ex. Now that I'm single I watch it occasionally more with my picky ass. Lol I prefer my own visualization... so it sounds like to me that men lack imagination.... in turn, imo, a lack of maturity- empathy, social skills with various types of people, etc.
