People make choices every day. We decide to curl our hair, have an extra drink at brunch, ask our boss about that promotion, order chicken instead of steak at dinner.

How much thought do you put into these "insignificant" choices? I bet it's enough. Autopilot comes in with routine, not when you deviate.

The man that decided to disregard what you wanted? That was a choice! He thought about it, weighed the risks, and decided you weren't worth it. He knew there would be consequences, he just hoped you'd bow down.

If you want to forgive him be prepared to forgive him into eternity. He made a promise to you that no two people in this world shared. That was just between yall. And he broke it. And for what? Are you worth more than what he broke that promise for?

Never forget, never forgive. That was HIS choice. He removed you from the equation to get what he wanted. Don't add yourself back in to forgive him.
