Funny how he asks "what if the man works more and pays all the bills, does he still have to do half the chores?" and she says "yes, everything split equal."

If she truly intended to split everything equally, she would have said something like "I wouldnt want you working extra hours to pay for most of the bills." She didnt say that though. She wants him to be the provider, while also doing half of her job (housework) for her.

As always, women like this are just looking for special treatment and trying to disguise it as "equality."

Splitting everything 50/50? No problem, I'll do everything this time around. But next time the car breaks it's her turn to figure out what's wrong and to fix it. Next time we receive a heavy delivery it's her time to carry it inside the house and maybe upstairs. Next time the toilets clog it's her turn to unclog it. Etc... All without calling for external help unless I can also call the mechanic or the plumber when it's my turn (which you know she would refuse because she rather spend that money on useless junk at the mall). True equality.

I don't get the big deal with women being offended about cooking. Cooking is a necessary skill, and is therapeutic and fun imo. Feeding yourself or your family a delicious meal is rewarding.Nor is it hard to follow a recipe. Most men these days actually cook more than women. I ain't never met a woman who was a better cook than myself. Not to mention all the best/most famous chefs in the world are men so cooking as a woman isn't that stereotypical anymore cause they think its offensive so they dont do it.

There is nothing wrong with her opinion and he is using the wrong argument: following her logic, she should be working 50-60hrs a week as well. She should not be letting the man shoulder the responsibility of providing alone if they are splitting things equally.

Before marriage, my ex told me how she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, and how she'd "run the house like a business".

In 16 years of marriage, she maybe did 10 loads of laundry for me. And each time you'd have thought she'd just completed a triathlon. I had to take over bill paying as she forgot to pay our power bill the first month of marriage. I ended up hiring a housekeeper twice a month as cleaning the house was too much for her. We ate out multiple times a week, and I'd often have to cook on the other nights as she "wasn't motivated". All outside work (mowing lawns, feeding animals, painting, etc.) was my responsibility. Add in her weight gain and libido loss, and that was my shit-show of a life.

As long as 'equal' is the focus...Calculate the actual amount of time at the going rate for her doing all the cooking and cleaning, then subtract that amount from the amount of earnings difference between them. The remainder is what is owed to the higher earner. That is equal (at least on the domestic chores side) - she would also need to be fined for drama generation and acts of disloyalty as well. Sure looks like she'd be incurring an ever increasing debt each month. No problem, that inequity can be alleviated by massage and sex on demand (though she'd likely still end up owing more with each passing month).

15 years of marriage. Wife is a sahm/homeschooling teacher. The few squabbles we ever had (and will have...likely 😒), have near the root of the problem, her lack of satisfaction/embracement at being those things. In the moment it's "you don't help enough... yada...yada..." upon examination, it's spending time on social media watching other women do more important things (jobs, degrees,etc) and getting butt hurt.

Media and other women simply don't make it easy for them to embrace that natural inclination (wife/caregiver/nurturer/teacher)

They certainly make it easy to embrace the less savory inclinations...like being a whore/gold digger/just fucking lazy/spendthrift/obsessively competitive with both men and women.
