It sounds like a bunch of bullshit that didn't come from here. Yes, MRAs are generally anti-feminist but not exclusively(read about it on the sidebar) and meninism is a parody of feminism.

It's nonsense. As for your question -- show me the MRAs here who are actively harassing feminists. We criticize feminism, and sometimes lampoon prominent feminists, but do not (to my knowledge) do targeted harassment. Unfortunately, many feminists deem ridicule and criticism and harassment.

As others here have explained, "Meninism" is a parody. They're taking feminist talking points and showing how ridiculous they sound when you flip the genders. Unfortunately, since the MRM isn't well-known except as a fringe of weirdos [who want basic human rights...], it's easily to lump the two together.

Which is why, folks, I really want to see an end to "meninism." If the mainstream can't even tell us apart from PUAs and TRP, what's the hope of them telling us apart from the "meninists"?

While the quotes might come from here, the infographic does not give any information regarding their status with up/down votes, which would reflect how well or ill received those opinions was in general on this subreddit.

Also, the bit.ly link given as a source in the inforgraphic does not seem to work for me, making one unable to verify the claims of the infographic or check something such as up/down votes in case it was supposed to be a screenshot of the comments.

Add to that, with the title of the thread, and the term meninism being used, which is generally not well received or viewed on this subreddit, it could easily be satire of feminists "Why I need feminism" posts with swapping genders and feminism for meninism to mock poor feminist arguments, not sure if thats the case, but definitely a possibility.

So, searched our subreddit and found the thread with the title given on the infographic: http://np.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/14m8wc/even_more_people_giving_stupid_reasons_why_they/

And expanded all deleted comments to see the replies to the now deleted comments (less than 5 total deleted comments), and what you know, not a single comment using the word "meninism" and the entire thread is dedicated to mocking stupid reasons people have for "why they need feminism" (not that valid reasons doesn't exist, just many of the reasons give are not really valid reasons), so even if one of the 5 deleted comments contained the quotes (and with 6 quotes in infographic, they would have to have taken at least 2 from the same comment without saying so, and when already that dishonest, I bet that if they was indeed from here, all 6 was from 1 comment that was later deleted either by the one submitting it or a mod due to it being ill received here)

Well, they are quite obviously being misrepresented in that infographic you linked to because it uses Meninist and MRA interchangeably - as the user below points out, 'Meninism' is a lampoon of the more clownishly absurd elements of Feminism and is completely unconnected with MRA/MRM.

In other instances, it is more common to misrepresent MRAs/the MRM as being synonymous with PUAs (Pick Up Artists), TRPs (The Redpillers), and MGTOW and collate them together under the 'Manosphere' label.

What I think it's probably fair to say is an accurate representation in that graphic is that many in this subreddit are opposed to the social justice brand of Feminism, by which I mean that brand of Feminism which features very prominently on Women's and Gender studies programmes in universities.

I'm certainly strongly opposed to that brand of Feminism. I am not opposed to it out of some misguided notion that men are 'more' oppressed than women, but out of a philosophical rejection of the core concepts of that kind of (social justice) Feminism. There is a huge gulf between what that kind of Feminism tends to claim are its aims and what they actually do.

I appreciate I haven't given any examples, but if you have the time I can highly recommend this video here as it's both entertaining, informative and intelligently written (though quite tongue-in-cheek FYI).

If you have even more time than that, I can also recommend this whole series of videos - I warn you in advance you may initially find the electronic voice and the choice of a talking skull in a jug of Koolaid rather off-putting but if you can ignore those and actually listen to what he says, you might be surprised at the ways in which MRAs have been deliberately misrepresented by the media in general and by popular Feminist commentators in particular.

To address your question, attacking feminism is how change will happen. Step one for any change is to disrupt the current dominant social/cultural narrative on the subject.

Want to get paid paternity leave for fathers? Great!! Step one disrupt the current dominant social narrative on gender equality, feminism, that says men are already too privileged and shouldn't get any more benefits for being men.

Want the assumption of equal shared parenting in divorce? Great!! Step 1 disrupt the current social narrative on gender relations, feminism, that say we should give custody to mothers because of the "Tender years Doctrine"

Want equality in education opportunities for men and women? GREAT!! Step 1, disrupt the current social and cultural narrative on the subject, feminism, that says the solution to the current problem of women outnumbering men 2:1 in university is more women in STEM.

Pick a point, any point and if you want equality step 1 will be to disrupt the victim feminist threat narrative of brutish men and helpless women.

Simply put attacking feminism (not feminists) IS step one for Advocating for men's Rights. Feminists trying to defend feminism fall back on their victim feminist threat narrative and make attacks against feminism attacks against feminists.
