In June, police killed:

34 white men
1 white woman.
28 black men
- black women
19 Latino men
- Latino women
2 American Indian men
16 men of unknown race

AS you can see, the Black Lives Matter movement should be the Male Lives Matter movement.

The fact that it has been taken over for a racist rant against the tragedies performed against males in general is completely disturbing.

I'll gladly support their MRA movement, but their racism and tactics are absolutely horrible.

While we recognize that there are MRM issue undertones to the BLM Standpoint- We are distinctly separate from them. Murder and police deaths have ALWAYS been a huge issue for men, overwhelmingly so- however this is NOT a forum for fighting RACIAL issues. posts about Police violence , and police killing men are acceptable- but placing a racial spin on them is not. if a posts theme is solely about racisim it will be removed.

No, Black Lives Matter is not an MRA movement. In fact, they are a feminist movement, as others here have already pointed out. Here's an archive link: http://archive.is/ARBH4 Hence, the usual, and thoroughly absurd, playing up of race over sex on this sort of issue. They even talk about a "herstory" of their movement. If you look into their founders, you'll also find socialist roots.

BLM definitely had good intentions at the beginning, but I think it's been corrupted and co-opted by racists, who truly just want nothing to do with white people. Even if those people are helping them, and suffering from some of the same problems as they are.

The movement mutated from cops being the problem to white people being the problem, and from police brutality being the problem, to just racism in general being the problem.

Other black civil rights movements in the past have succeeded by attacking the effects of racism and seeking to curb the overall normalcy of racist ideas. But in today's society racist ideas are generally marginalized at best. So BLM is often just flogging the choir.

Black lives matter started out as a genuine and honest push, and (in my opinion) the last real battle that black people have to fight to achieve true equality in society. However it has been basically ruined by entitled and selfish young black children who honestly need to check their privilege.

All lives matter should have been seen as a wonderful sign that this idea has been embraced by everyone and that everyone wants to be on our side. Unfortunately the push against ALM has shown that the people within BLM have no interest in advancing if it means acknowledging that other people are also suffering.

This is why I've abandoned BLM. It's racist and doomed to fail, I just hope they shut it down before more are killed.

no BLM is a feminist type movement blinded by race... i.e. they refuse to acknowledge the statistics just like feminists. nearly twice as many white men have been victimized by police so far this year as black men. as Karen Straughan said in a video not too long ago... theres no such thing as driving while black and female... its MEN that are being victimized in general, not specifically black men.

The overall ratio of fatal shooting of unarmed blacks to fatal shootings of unarmed non-Hispanic whites is 1.15:1 (45/39; close to 1:1). Controlling for the average US Population of 63% Non-Hispanic white vs 13% black, that means an unarmed black person is about 5.6 x more likely to be shot and killed by police than an unarmed white person. Versus 20.8 times more likely for a male vs a female.
