Custody is a result of feminist legislation, traditionally the child went to the richer parent. Unless ofc you're willing to come forth and admit feminism is a tradition in our legal and social system. To which I'd say gosh it's so silly to hear feminists claim to want to get rid of gender roles when they're the ones that advocated it so anti feminism is the best form of feminism.

"Patriarchy hurts men" is the only acknowledgement I've heard when feminists are confronted by the fact that genital integrity/autonomy laws – that rightly exist in most developed countries throughout the world – are limited to baby girls only. However, those particular laws were written by feminists, consulted on by feminists, approved by feminists, yet somehow the mystical patriarchy is to blame. Equality should mean that boys and girls have the same opportunities, protections, and rights as each other. Full stop. We want to simply change this law so that it applies to everyone, by removing references to the baby's sex (you know, equality?), and not have to wait for some undefined endpoint of "smash patriarchy!" to magically fix it. Somehow.

Bodily autonomy and male disposability are just two of the most clear examples of this, but there are many others that have already been mentioned in this thread. All you are saying here is: "We'll look at injustices that men face only once you've solved everything that we desire", and that is not a workable partnership for men.

Yes. Because that was the argument feminists used when they got the laws changed.

It was feminists who are responsible for making the law so that women have preferential custody. It was called the Tender Years Doctrine and was first put forth by Caroline Norton. It was the feminist argument that men were,by nature, not capable of providing a child with the loving care that a mother could, and that having her child was a mothers natural right.

They did, however, leave it in the laws that the father was fully responsible financially for the child.

So when you say "patriarchy", as usual what one actually means is "feminists are responsible for this".

You may want to actually take the time to learn something about the topics you speak of before you put finger to keyboard.

Just a reminder, the word "patriarchy" has been changed several times after being called out for its inconsistency. The word barely has any legitimate meaning. It's merely a buzz word for people to talk their way in and out of every situation.
