Well, in the U.S., feminists pushed for and won legislation focusing on girls over boys in K-12 education. Lobbying for and winning laws that actively focus on one sex over the other isn’t “unconscious”

The Biden administration is requiring title ix mandates that are even more unfair to college males accused of sexual harassment. Again this is purposeful, not unconscious.

Some schools, aided by feminist funding offer no boys allowed college prep programs. Such programs are not unconscious, they are purposeful.

I have no doubt there is an unconscious (or subconscious) bias, but the bigger and more important issue is the purposeful and incredibly strong purposeful biases against males in education.

It wasn’t until the late 70s boys started falling behind in education. This wasn’t because some unconscious bias suddenly popped into existence at that time. It’s mostly due to intentional favoritism towards females. No notable change will be possible until people recognize and address this purposeful bias.

The bias against boys in education is extensive and systemic, but is not unconscious. It is the result of deliberate policy initiatives intended to achive the advancement of girls and the punishing of boys. The curriculli of education courses are littered with misandry. Any voices attempting to call this out, or identifying the negative impact of these policies on boys, is shouted down by shrill academics and feminist activists.

I remember when I was in first grade. That was 1996. We had an assignment where we had to pick between two cardboard cutouts to color. The other kids didn't seem to be bothered by it, but it was confusing to me and pissed me off a little, but I went with it without saying anything because everyone else did that. The card board cut outs we had to select from was a female or male. The girl's was named healthy food heather, and the boy's name was junk food jack. All these years later, I remember it. Not only did we have to color them, but cut the appropriate food out of magazines and glue it on to the cutout. From that moment on, for the rest of my schooling, I just sort of believed and accepted that males were just shittier than girls. We were less responsible, less behaved, worse grades, dumber, ate worse food, made poorer decisions, etc. All branching out from that assignment. And it pissed me off because I didn't understand why it had to be that way.

I have been in education for 14 years. I have only ever seen one male valedictorian. Even the top ten are mostly females.

But SAT and PSAT scores did not reflect that.

I was bullied by all my teachers from grades 4 through the 9. It was absolutely not unconsciously done

IMO, all testing in public school should be logically definitive information. True or false, named locations, mathematical problems, you get it, right? Answers which are not up for argument or interpretation. Make the curriculum on a computer, and have the test answers pre-determined. No human bias.

Save the subjective arguments and lived experiences for college.

Not surprised. In high school, if there’s a group project, I sometimes get lower grades than the girls who were also part of my group. I would always go back and argue that we both have the same work basically, why does she get more marks than me, either low hers or increase mine. Even when going off to university studies. I’d do the same thing. I mostly hung out and made friends with females so that I could compare assessments with theirs and look at the grade differences in group activities. And still nothing changed. I’d still do in university what I did in high school with my grades

I believe this is also majority of the reason why lots of boys/men drop out of education because its very obvious that school rather focused on one gender than being neutral. I've experienced it myself how unbiased the teachers are.

Imagine if a robot A.I replace a teacher who's neutral in teaching

The entire system holds girls behaviour as the gold standard and treats boys like they're defective girls.

They then punish and drug the boys into compliance.

Schools are rotten to the core.

It is very on purpose. Best friend in college was a girl and we copied/shared all papers. Lab partners with IDENTICAL PAPERS. She got a 93 I got an 88. HOW. Teacher didn't do office hours and openly dogged men in class. I just gave up and took my B in the class.

Unconsciously lmao. I had an english teacher in high school who blatantly said girls deserve so much more than boys and that she'll be grading them better because of this. Not just the grades but she would also allow girls to break as many rules as they want while punishing boys for even the slightest of mistakes. While some people have deep-rooted misandry others also straight up admit to it because they know there aren't any consequences.

This study compares the mark of a single test to the mark given for half a year of work and behaviour. That demonstrates that boys perform better on tests, which I see something we already knew.

This is trash science which if you know anything about the research that goes on in education isn’t surprising.

I never was an ideal student but I was really passionate about some topics and I soon realized no one cared when they started doing female only stem field trips and getting called a psychopath in a debate class
