Hi all,

in a few recent threads, we had discussions about men opening up emotionally.

There were some interesting points. He should open up, but not be whiny for example. Or that he shouldn't look for mommy comfort, but instead open up to find real solutions for the problems with his SO together. Or that there are negative emotions that repel attraction and shouldn't be voiced.

So, I'd like to know:

  1. How should men (SOs or friends) open up emotionally?

  2. Are there things you don't want a man to open up about emotionally?

  3. Do you have anecdotes about a man opening up to you and how you reacted? Both positive and negative stories are welcome.

Men who want to reply to the comments, I ask you to refrain from "You are an outlier! AWALT!". I want to have as much opinions and stories as possible and stuff like this doesn't exactly encourage people to participate.
