Hello, friends!

I haven't posted here since before my wedding, but I wanted to thank you all for your advice. If you hadn't been following my posts, I was moving from Australia to the US to marry my American fiancé. I had expressed doubts about surrendering (and needed help with some wedding traditions because I was not from the US), but everything has been perfect and I'm so glad to finally call this country home. My marriage is going wonderfully and I am settling in to America well, and I am now a permanent resident! I was wondering if anyone might know how I could find more like-minded friends living in Portland, or if there is a bigger network of us somewhere? I want to settle in, but it is hard to make agreeable friends and I don't wish to be lonely.

I also started reading the Five Love Languages. It's a very helpful book, I really recommend it!
