Finally came out of lurking to ask this. My problem seems like it's a bit unusual for this subreddit, but I appreciate a lot of the things you guys say: not putting women on a pedestal, making sure my own needs are met, etc. A lot of the redpill philosophy definitely rings true to me.

Background: I am with a pretty awesome girl I'd like to marry. She is 22, sweet, 9/10 hot, great sex (but was never a whore), and can actually cook well. She's been living with me for the past year since she graduated college (I am 23 and in grad school) and has made a terrific domestic partner. Hell, she contributes to the finances with part-time teaching gigs AND takes care of pretty much all the cooking and housework so no complaints here.

Here's my issue: she is leaving town in July and will be gone for at least 4 years. She got into medical school, so it's kind of a big deal and something she seems really excited about. I feel like I should be excited too, and everyone tells me I should be, but I'm actually just really bummed out that she's going to be away for long periods of time.

Any redpill advice on handling a (temporarily) long-distance relationship with a marriage-worthy chick?

EDIT: I appreciate all the feedback. I don't plan to break up with her preemptively but I do realize that physical proximity is a necessity for a lasting relationship in the long run. My gut (and most of you) are telling me that 4+ years apart is not going to end well and one of us will need to make a move. In the meantime I'll stick around this sub.
