I started to write this up the other day, but if you saw my stories this weekend you'll understand why I got sidetracked.

Something someone said to me the other day really struck a chord about being the villain, owning it, leaning into it. After I reflected on it a bit it became apparent I've been the villain most of my life as at least 3 wives and 2 girlfriends have cheated on their men with me. Most of those when I was in the military, that's right I was "Jody", aka the guy you have to worry about your woman cheating with. The... "he's just a friend". In fact another one just cheated with me Sunday night, and I'm pretty sure I ended, or at least planted the seeds of ending, another relationship last night.

When you are present when the nervous boyfriend is blowing up her phone, when she's sending the affirming texts of love with one hand while her other hand is stroking your junk, when you're getting her some water after smashing and you come back to find her on the phone with him lying through her teeth to the point YOU could almost swear it didn't happen, you will never see women, or life, the same way again.

This has been the story of my life and I always just ignored it or backburnered the thoughts until I was forcing to confront my past. I'm not the nice guy, I just wanted to be the nice guy and the world be the Disney fantasy. In reality the nice guy doesn't get the girl, lives a life of pain and regret, and the villain gets the best most debaucherous, most depraved version of herself that she has to offer.

Be the goddamn villain.
