The St Louis Fed disagrees in a wage gap but that didn't stop the IWPR's report today.

https://www.stlouisfed.org/Publications/Regional-Economist/October-2011/Gender-Wage-Gap-May-Be-Much-Smaller-Than-Most-Think ,

I wanted to focus on one very interesting stat that came from the IWPR today. (Institute for Women’s Policy Research) https://iwpr.org/publications/gender-wage-gap-occupation-2016-race-ethnicity/

"The occupation with the largest gender wage gap is ‘personal financial advisor;’ in 2016, the median weekly earnings of women ‘personal financial advisors’ were only 55.6 percent of those of men’s, corresponding to a gender wage gap of 44.4 percent.[2]"

Essentially the profession which is entirely based on commissions, ie results, has the largest pay gap. It makes you wonder if the results gap is so large in this field what is it in others? But the main point is how the IWPR promulgates a very negative fact about female work ethic and calls it discrimination. A commission based environment is about as fair as you can get with regards to compensation.
