Okay. So I never thought I’d ever have to post something like this. And I recognise that this isn’t RPC specific but I don’t know where else to go.

I’ve just had a big fallout with my entire family, ending with my father calling me a ‘racist white supremacist likeable to hitler’ after passionately articulating, expressing and defending my views (like any self respecting man would do) on current affairs. My mother and brother pretty much agreed with him, neither coming to my defence in any shape or form.

Just to let you know, I am absolutely NOTHING of the sort, I am a bible reading Jesus loving Christian with no views linked to anything remotely racist or hitler. I’m just shocked that my own family would even suggest that. I had to leave not because of the views being expressed, because I always encourage healthy and proper debate. But after being labelled that by my own family, I don’t know where to go or what to say.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated. I’m happy to answer questions as well.

Long Edit: after getting some rest and trying to make sense of what happened, here’s what was said (it got messy towards the end).

First debate:

Dominic Cummings (UK politician) ‘broke lockdown’ to drive to a park in the north of England. I disagree with what he did and how he tried to cover it up, however I argued that he did not break any rules of ‘law’ (even though the lockdown rules enforced by police are unlawful anyway), because at that time in the U.K., you were allowed to travel long distances, and Cummings did not come into contact with any of the public. So he didn’t breach social distance rules either. However everyone has been harassing this man, the media, people egging his house, sending death threats and the whole nation essentially calling for him to resign.

For that I was labelled an idiot despite labelling the facts. I don’t like the man and he did lie to try and cover it up so I tried to find some common ground with Dad but no.

Second debate:

A labour MP (same as a democrat) went to the black lives matter (BLM) protest in London, with 10,000 other people, not wearing a mask, breaking social distancing rules. Apparently this is somehow ok because he went ‘for a moral cause’ while Mr Cummings didn’t (even though he didn’t break any rules).

I called him (Dad) our for blatant hypocrisy. It sets a terrible precedent that if you do something ‘morally superior’ then it’s ok. The media has been celebrating this guy and BLM protests. I said the labour MP should resign because he broke ALL lockdown and social distance rules. Nope, I’m still an idiot.

Third debate:

a labour (democrat) government in my country (the U.K.) would be a DISASTER for everyone. 50% taxes on earners over £60k, 50%!!!!. Huge amounts of public spending. Censorship. ‘Socialism’ which is a precursor to communism. Distribution of wealth. ANOTHER Brexit referendum (because they didn’t win the first one, so they’ll keep having referenda until they get the result they want). Closing down of free speech and a pro abortion government.

Now I don’t support the current government either because they’re pretty hopeless. But the fact that my dad is openly supporting this ‘socialism’ is mind boggling. For sharing my opinions on that I was called hitler.

Fourth debate (where things got messy):

(what I said) BLM protests in London are in full breach of all lockdown rules and such problems do not even exist in the U.K. in the British police force. The liberal media complex and universities has indoctrinated and influenced everyone to believe that all white people are racists and that this country is ‘systematically’ racist towards BAME (black and minority ethnic). I also said that anyone with even mildly conservative/right wing views are shut down immediately, even though the FACTS and statistics show that this is not an issue whatsoever.

The death of George Floyd abhorrent and should not have happened. We agreed on that at least. But I said that it is wrong for the U.K. to import issues from other countries that just don’t exist here to try and push some liberal narrative that anyone who doesn’t believe or support the cause is a racist white supremacist, which is what my dad proceeded to call me.

I told him to look at the stats. In LABOUR controlled areas, crime is high, more specifically black on black crime. The police only killed 2 people last year, one of which was the terrorist who massacred people on London Bridge! I said to him that the main reason that BAME communities are in such poor conditions is because they are being kept like that by the poorly run LABOUR constituencies so that they can have voters. Again, I was labelled racist.

I said that police should not be bowing down to BLM and that the only things they should be bowing down to are Jesus Christ and God. That made me a racist once again.

I said that people that shut down speech for speaking up against BLM or calling out the clear facts because I’m white, are in fact the racists. Because we can’t say anything bad about them, yet they can protest and loot shops of hard working law abiding citizens. Out comes the ‘racist white supremacist likeable to hitler comment’.

He said to me that I’ll get shot for having the views that I do. I said back that I will gladly lay down my life for my views on everything and the word of God, than give in to the indoctrination of the leftist satanic society. And I was called stupid for that.

I could go on but at that point it started to get messy. At no point did I say anything racist, anti Semitic or anything that would compare me to someone that murdered millions of people. I asked him 5 times whether that’s what he really thought of me, his own son, and he said the same thing.

I told him that I couldn’t have a debate with someone that just called me that every time I would speak, or for holding views that ‘go against the grain’. At no point did I also throw any labels at my dad, because that would be totally disrespectful.
