I always hear "hold your frame" when people talk about alpha male and trp. But I don't quite understand what it means.

My guess is that it means to not let your personality or goals falter when someone sh*t tests you, but I don't know if there is anything more specific than that.

I'm asking this because I seem to have a habit of saying things just to "fit in" or to act like people expect me to. For example, I'm in high school, and I'm pretty short for a guy. I also look younger than my age. So when I meet people they will say, "Wow, you're 16? You're short." Usually when people tell me that, I don't take time to think before I respond and I just say "Ugh I know" in a whiny voice. That does not sound confident at all, and I need to change that about myself.

Another example is I'll approach a "popular kid" and try to start a conversation with them. But then they will give me a short answer and stop talking to me. Maybe it's because I'm not as high as they are socially in my school.

Feeling sorry for myself isn't gonna help though, so what can I do to improve my frame?
