The main reason for RedPill's popularity is that most guys have really bad game and are encouraged by popular culture to have bad game, in this context TRP is punk.

The red pill and other movements that radicalise people are successful because of a social void at the moment around a positive ideal for masculinity in modern culture.

This can be related to different types of traumas, but it is only the personal expression of something more general and quite scary honestly. Young men have trouble finding an ideal for themselves to pursue to feel comfortable and confident, so they seek less mainstream, more extreme models in the fringe of the internet.

This phenomenon is exploited by people who are very dangerous and know exactly what they're doing. Those people use this lack of confidence to offer easy answers blaming parts of the society, to rally lost young men to their violent cause. This is why places like this one are so important.

Main issue with TRP, is that people just apply everything from it it their lives. Dont be so stupid, use common sense, not everything should be taken into consideration.

Time for some armchair psychology.

I firmly believe that masculinity is a myth. What do I mean by that? What I mean is that there is nothing special about a man that makes him "masculine". Every trait that you can ascribe to being masculine could also be ascribed to a woman. Traits like confidence, competitiveness, protective instinct and the like don't make a man a man. It's bullshit imho. There's literally nothing biological, aside from my penis and hormone levels that makes me a man.

The engineer thinks that masculinity is about being analytical, no matter the situation. Some people believe that being masculine is about being athletic. Some think it's about being a rockstar, or being raised in the rugged wilderness. There really is no pattern here. Masculinity is really just code for a human being having achieved a certain level of emotional, financial or spiritual stability or even success. Seriously people go ask guys what they think being masculine is all about - they'll have no real clue.

Basically, maleness is just a default, plain old human being. A masculine dude is a plain old human being that's better.

Manosphereians have coined something called "male disposability". I believe it's really just a consequence of acknowledging the fact that human males are seen as the default. We have no inherent value, in fact we have zero value. We're free to do what we want, which I guess is a plus. But you have to make something of yourself if you want anything.

Femininity, on the other hand, is actually a thing. While it's still an arbitrary concept, there's just something special about it that makes it exclusive to women. Traits like gentleness are just better perceived in a woman than the generic man. Femininity is a sort of performance, and the rules are pretty clear. Follow them, and you get all sorts of bonuses and restrictions. Break them, and you're out. Can't be feminine as a women? We'll you're fucked.

Think about it. When you look at a women, it's not just a women. It's how she moves. How she does her hair. Every little detail about her, from her eyelashes to socks is seen as a deliberate choice that she made. You don't get this sort of thing as a man. Society treats it like she "choose" to present herself that way, her body itself is a message. And the more feminine she makes herself, the more rewarded she is. The less... well you know.

But there's good news for women. Whether it be feminists or just progressive western society, femininity is more available to women than ever and less restrictive all the while maintaining the bonuses that come with being a women.

Red pill can really fuck with you when you can't accept the blatant double standards that exists within society in a healthy way. It's why they cling on to ideas about being "alpha". They want to make masculinity a performance, like femininity. They're sacred of acknowledging that masculinity is bullshit, traditional or current. MGTOWS are just straight fed up with it, they're just lashing out. incels are sacred of men becoming obsolete - think about it, if you can do what a man can do whilst still being seen as better just because you're a women... why won't you be sacred as the average Joe?

It's why so many incels and 4channers envy women and want to transition. They're depressed dudes with nothing going for them. At least with femininity, they have a clearer pathway into the larger society. The only real way to get rid of this problem is to get rid of femininity altogether, which probably isn't happening, ever.

Basically, support radical feminists. :D

It is a symptom of societal destruction caused by feminism as well as too high standards created for men by he popular culture and the media, and the psychological effects of the internet (creating echo chambers, reducing social skills)

As much as I hate red pill, I also hate to admit this. None of this was an issue 50 years ago
