Farmer's market, Grocery store, Yogurt place, Movies, Dog parks, Parks, Malls, Town square, Sex shop, Yoga class, cooking class, ballroom dance, salsa, tango, cafe, fuck the list goes on and on. They're just everywhere, so stop bitching and get out there and get some mudafuka!! Sometimes it depends on where you live though. If you live in Santa Cruz... My God you'll be drowning in a sea of vaginae, which is the plural form of vagina apparently; it won't even matter what you do there. It's almost as easy as just whipping it out. If you're in Jacksonville or somewhere like that's a sausage fest 25/8, then work on your career and get the fuck outa there! Good luck.

You should check out meetup.com groups. Pick an interest that you always wanted to learn and go for it.

The same way you meet anyone. Walk up and talk to them.

Part of me has wanted to go back to school and pay for yet another degree just because meeting people/women in college is stupid easy.
I too feel this way but it's really my own self-imposed limitations: - I never interact with anyone at work because my office is in a remote building with 3 other people and most employees are 50+ - Why meet new people when I'm out when I have a great group of friends with me? - A woman will just appear in my life - Too high of standards for women - Etc...
However, that being said and like Emerzon says, just go up to people and talk to them. Surely you have a coffee shop, grocery store, target, etc... where people are in the suburbs.

That's a $40,000 girlfriend.
You don't even have to go to school. Lecture classes are usually open to anyone, hang around campus, or go to campus pub nights.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
nah, to the point in my education where paying for school is absurd, being paid to go to school is what it's about now.

It's tough because the good ones get married. You don't see thousands of pretty girls a week like you did in college. You may work with a few, you may not.
Here it is - you have to have an active social life. Go out. Go out a lot. Not just to bars, but do all sorts of things. Go out by yourself if you have to. Talk to everyone. Be social. Depending on what you are looking for, you may meet women you like in bars and clubs at night, or at coffee shops and parks during the day.
Looking for quick lays, slutty girls? Go to bars, get really good at cold approach. Looking for a girlfriend you can introduce to your mom? Go to parks during the day, or coffee shops, book stores, malls, etc - places where people congregate. The more upscale, the more attractive the women. But you still have to be good at cold approaching - luckily, it's a ton easier in day game. No bitch shields to break through.
Take some creative classes if you are shy. Ceramics is the best class you can take - it's very sensual, and everybody gets to know one another fast. Language classes are good too, because you have to embarrass yourself by trying to speak in a foreign language, so everyone's guard gets dropped.
Otherwise, have friends, do stuff with those friends. Every friend you have is a link to at least one or two pretty girls. Just go to all the stuff you get invited to, don't be a homebody. You'll never meet anyone sitting at home. Unless you want to do online dating, which is heavily based on looks and is very much a buyer's market for the women (attractive women have their choice of men, unless you are tall and good looking you'll have to settle).

What would /r/seduction suggest for me on how to meet women?
Partner dance scenes can be golden. (Example: salsa, lindy-up, blues dancing, argentine tango, etc.) Dance scenes can be like a second family while also providing you a social pool to date from.
Caveat #1: You shouldn't go there unless you have a legitimate interest in the respective dance. If you go there without regard for the dancing, and solely for pickup, you'll probably be singled out and ostracized.
Caveat #2: Some of the better dance events are probably going to be closer to the city, rather than the suburb. That said, I regularly commuted 30 minutes or so to most dance events. And happily so.
I am in the suburbs and a good train ride away from all places with a lot of women. I do not want to train into a city for the sole purpose of talking to girls.
Why not move out of the damn suburb, man? This is not even necessarily about "talking to girls," it's about having a life. If you can't have a life in the suburbs, that's a problem regardless of any lack of women to pick up on. What other interests do you have? Are you able to pursue those interests in the suburbs?
And think about it: even if you find one out in the suburbs, what are you going to do out there. If there's nothing to do, are you really going to want to date at venues/places out there?

Not every single person in the world has infinite money enough to pay for individual rent. Not every person wants to jam their way with 5 roommates in cities where rent is hilariously high.
Perhaps I hit a nerve: you don't need infinite money, but a better attitude wouldn't hurt. If a stranger merely recommending that you move out of the suburbs, is going to hit a nerve, then you obviously have a choice:
or...
I have no idea where you live, but I've lived in a city where it was prohibitively expensive to live in the city. But I still think you're choosing to see the situation as half-empty. If you keep your eyes open, you can find places where you wouldn't expect to. If you work at it, decent studios can be found and shared housing situations can be awesome.
But if you would rather wallow, then I'm sure you'll find absolutely no affordable places except in the suburbs. I just hope for your sake that you're not having to crash at the folks' place. I wouldn't wish the logistical nightmare combination of living at home AND being out in the suburbs, on anyone.
I do not mind the train ride in....
You just complained about the train ride:
I do not want to train into a city for the sole purpose of talking to girls.
........so your preference as far as commute is getting a little unclear.
but was wondering venues/places training into a major city.......
Also, I'm not sure what you mean here. But as I already said, partner dance scenes are awesome. If you don't mind the train commute, you won't find many better things to do with your time. You'll see young, college-educated people there and usually in good shape, too. And practicing dance will be fun and will seriously help your game in unforeseen ways.

sorry about my previous reply. I know the elitist attitude towards people who move out thinking it is beyond the easiest thing ever imaginable and anyone who doesn't is worthless scum.
sorry about my previous reply.
I know the elitist attitude towards people who move out thinking it is beyond the easiest thing ever imaginable and anyone who doesn't is worthless scum.
I've definitely been on both sides of this, so don't sweat it. I've lived at home with the folks and they live in the suburbs. It was a pain in the ass.
It sucks but this is what happens with a transitional period. I have come to more peace with it..... I have to be creative with logistics.
This is exactly why I recommended that you investigate dance scenes. They greased the wheels for me when my logistics were at their worst. I met a lot of young people with a certain attitude (really open minded!) and if you work to improve your dancing and/or have a good attitude, you'll be accepted easily.
And since you live in the suburbs, chances are that you'll be commuting into the city to events. And since you'll be meeting a lot of girls out there, who likely live out there, their places will likely be more convenient. Speaking from experience, it really is NO problem to f-close because if women will be willing to take you home if you're getting that far with them. All you'd have to say is, "I live out in X," and they'll be fine with going to their place since it will be easier. I spent a LOT of time sleeping over at different womens' places.
Also, dancers are pretty awesome people, so once you get integrated into a scene, you'll likely meet some cool people who share a house or something. If you keep your ears open, you can find a pretty good living situation that way.

Bars mostly. But literally anywhere you see a woman is fine.
[–]maybenexttimecollege 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Train into a city to do things for yourself but talk to women while you are there. I don't know. It seems like you base a lot of pick up on situational things and you are talking yourself out of it. I think that would be really fun to go into a big city like the way you are describing. Plenty of women there too. If you don't get out there you will not meet anyone. Any bars in your suburbs? Malls? Coffee shops?

[–]magicalbird1 points 13 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link
Maybe cause society shames men unless it is situational

I can't believe no one else has said this. Friends of friends! There are infinite circles of new people that you can meet by meeting someone, meeting their friends at a gathering/party/night out that they invite you to, meeting a new person there, and so on. Do the same for people you meet, invite them to parties and introduce them to people if you think they're cool, and you'll never run out of fresh faces.

Don't use "best places to game" as a crutch for any reason not to talk to a female anytime - anywhere. If you're not in a good "pickup spot" but see a good opportunity, then take it.
There's some good advice in these comments, but do not involve yourself with any of the online dating sites. You won't be doing your game any favors, and you'll mostly be finding very sub-par women (any woman worth your time doesn't need a dating site to find a date).
At concerts you would actually enjoy.

Find a cheap ass hotel room and get a buddy to go into the big city with you for the weekend. Start as early as possible Friday afternoon. Start at happy hours and afterwork crowds and just let the momentum carry you into Friday night, Saturday, an Sunday. Head home Sunday night. Seems like a fun activity. Fuck it get a whole crew of friends together and do it every weekend. It would be a ball.

You could try pof.com or okcupid.com.
Besides that, anytime you go to the store, gas station, restaurant, etc, just try and remember to talk to girls :)

Also, maybe the ladiez aren't looking for a "sexy metalhead" who calls women "fatties?" Just a thought! Good luck, Romeo.

Fat pride... Wait... I think... Yep. Smooshed together, that's "fried." Thanks, peanut butter, for sussing that out for me.
Fat strong.

This is why I continue to use OKCupid. I lack the patience otherwise and the all around low odds at the grocery store/street corner are not encouraging. Not to mention the utter lack of chemistry that is almost guaranteed to be an issue.
[–]Emerzon 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's counter intuitive to self improvement in my opinion. It lets you sit behind your computer instead of doing the dirty work and actually improving and learning.
[–]NaturalAFC 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I had a date today with a very cute girl I met on OKCupid. Two more planned for this week with non-fatties.

Go to any campus near by and just day game. Noone will care and if anyone ask just say you're visiting a friend. There.
[–]hahahaaaaaa 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
FYI, this is creepy. You can basically smell if some older guy is just on campus looking to meet women.
[–]magicalbird7 points 13 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link
If by older you mean over 30 then yeah that's probably strange but if you're around their age then I don't see the problem
[–]hahahaaaaaa 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Nope. I mean "has already graduated." Grads are 22ish. Lurking without friends or a purpose is very, very creepy.
[–]hahahaaaaaa 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Because there's no other reason for you to be there than to creep on younger girls. It's like a scent dudes put out when they're doing that.
Or you can legitimately love being on campus, have a strong affection for it, great memories, and want to enjoy the nice scenery?
Seriously, you're overthinking it. A girl will WANT to meet a nice guy who has his shit together rather than some college kid dressing in flip flops.
[–]Dragonsnake422 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Let me guess you're the type of guy who won't do pushups before a set to get in state cuz its weiirrdd. Fuck off buddy. Excuse me while I get laid. All anyone would know is your some guy asking someone a question if you're like 40 on campus. Maybe you could be a professor or w/e. Either way noone gives a fuck what you're doing during the day.
[–]hahahaaaaaa 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm actually a young lady.
[–]knoekie[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I would suggest to go do something you love. Maybe you can try a sport? I play volleybal and there are lots of girls and guys playing it..You don't have to be good at it, just be present! But you could also go to a bookclub or whatever other stuff you like. The bonus point is that you will have something in common and you have something to talk about :)
[–]Lead ModeratorThrowawayPUA 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Have you actually graduated from college yet? It doesn't sound like it, it sounds like you're guessing what will happen in the future.
Once college is over, you have to life a whole lifetime out in the real world. Out there, it's pretty close to 50/50 men/women. Women are everywhere you go.
[–]DJ_Timelord13 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Other than okcupid, try fetlife for kinky social stuff that cool lead to fwb or a real relationship.
[–]coralto 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You should only join fetlife if you are genuinely interested in kink otherwise you're going to have a bad time. It's a whole other subculture.
[–]slcjosh 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh and don't forget to dress appropriately. If say decent jeans a nice shirt for the after work crowd. Good thin about that is you can leave it for the evening, dress it up with a blazer or scrap t all for something more casual back at said hotel.
[+]puntingbaxter -6 points-5 points-4 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's your attitude that is stopping you from meeting women. College made it very easy to interact with women, it put it on a silver platter for you. Now that you actually have to do some work you complain about it.
Sorry to introduce you to real life, you may have just graduated college, but out here adults work for things.
[–]magicalbird5 points 13 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Attitude? I am strictly asking for suggestions on how to meet women
[–]puntingbaxter 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm not talking about "Hey young man watch your attitude"
I'm talking about "I'm too tired" or "It takes too long" or "It's too far"
Do you get it now?
