It’s more worth it to use apps then have to grind and grind and force myself to go out try to brute force approaching in real life. In order for me to try something I have to at least reasonably believe I can succeed. It wont do me any good to try to force myself to approach AND not have my attempts go anywhere. It would just make me discouraged and quit. To try and approach irl would never be fun for me, I have little motivation to socialize anyway and there’s only so much I can tolerate before…

I don’t really know what I would do as far as that. But even if I did do some activity and I came across a woman there that I was attracted to, I would have basically no confidence I’d be able to get a date out of it. But that’s if I go somewhere and actually come across a dateable woman in the wild. The way my life is, it’s as if dateable women only exist on apps
/r/seduction14/11/25 06:45 AM

The “action” I need to take is to find ways to make the waiting in the attic of dormancy more bearable. That’s the sole objective I had in making this tread to begin with. But then all I get is a bunch of cold approach touts trying to project what they think I need onto me instead of considering the nuances of my situation. Sometimes I wonder why I bother even posting on here

I’m looking for ways to make the waiting between encounters more bearable. Not to be lectured about how I ought to “put myself out there”
/r/seduction13/11/25 11:54 PM

Well then if you say I deserve to wait and wait, how do I make the waiting more bearable. I’m not looking for ways to approach in public. I’m looking for ways to deal with the realities of my dating life

I’m looking for ways to make the waiting times I have between encounters from apps more bearable. Throwing myself into the deep end with approaching in public is the exact opposite of what I should do
/r/seduction13/11/25 11:51 PM

I’m not going to start approaching in public, in my case that’s a terrible idea. Furthermore I just dont have the energy to invest all this time and effort trying to learn to approach. I legit do not want to shuttle myself around town and go out and try to approach only to just keep getting nowhere. Online dating is what I have, and that is what I will use. I’m not here to talk about approach in public, I will not do it
/r/seduction13/11/25 08:10 AM

You speak about such events as if dateable women will be there. In my experience, all the women that one encounters at any public place are already seeing someone. But that’s if there’s any attractive women at all
/r/seduction13/11/25 02:08 AM

Though how can it be rebuked? No matter what I still wake up every day frustrated with how much waiting and lack of agency there is in my dating life
/r/seduction13/11/25 02:05 AM

I’m not going to try with all this cold approach bs and dragging myself around town just in some vague hope of meeting anyone. It’s not a good look. Do you have actual advice about how to make the waiting more bearable, or are you going to continue giving generic boomer tier advice like “get out of your comfort zone” and “put yourself out there”? I’m not seeking ways to approach women in public. I’m seeking ways to make the realities of my dating life more bearable

What part of “I’m not psychically attracted to east asian women” do you not understand?
/r/seduction13/11/25 01:52 AM

I’m not comfortable approaching women in person, and I don’t want to shuttle myself around town and go to all these events when I have very low social energy to begin with. Furthermore there are no single, dateable women irl anywhere. And even if I met any I wouldnt be able to do anything with such leads IF they should appear. Apps are my only frame of reference as far as getting dates. If I am 29 and have NEVER hooked up with, dated, or even kissed a woman I’ve first met irl and didnt see on an…

I have no agency because whether or not i get a date just depends on swiping on apps and waiting for a good match to come. I have no way of meeting women in real life, in real life I never come across dateable women, and all I have experience in as far as getting dates is concerned is thru apps, so I dont even have the experience of dating a woman I’ve first met irl instead of apps. Cold approach is a stupid, stupid idea for someone like myself and I would never do it, and also there is no way I…

Its not just the face, but also in the body they just have no assets lol. But isnt it the case that these southeast asian women are more or less just gold diggers or glorified escorts? I can’t imagine relations between south east asian women and western sex tourists being of a healthy dynamic, at least not most of the time. At the end of the day such things would be transactional. If you must know what country I live in, I am somewhere in the US

I dont want to further the whole “introverted western expat with a thai woman” stereotype. But in any case I’m not attracted to east asian women

It’s worrying because I’ve been locked out of that entire aspect. It’s basically like a developmental delay. Almost everyone else developed the skills to be able to get dates from women they first met irl, but I never did. But just meeting somebody irl whom I could potentially date is impossible enough
/r/seduction05/11/25 08:44 PM
1

That’s a lot of my thoughts on it. But it does make me feel sad I’ve never even gotten a date with or kissed a woman I’ve first met irl. It makes me feel like there is something wrong. After all, normal guys have gotten at least one date or relationship with a woman they’ve first met IRL. But I have not. Not even in high school or college, when everyone is supposed to date those they’ve come across irl, was I ever able to do that. Apps are all I have known
/r/seduction05/11/25 08:14 PM

I basically never even come across dateable women in real life. There is no way for me even to meet any women irl I could date. And even if i did, I’m not confident at all I could get a date out of it. I have used dating apps since I was 18 and that’s the only way I know how to get a date. With real life, I wouldnt even really know how to get a date out of it at all. How can I expect, at nearly 30 years old, to just all of the sudden get a date out of it if i meet some woman irl, when i havent e…

The demographics in my life dont loan themselves to real life. I never come across women in my daily life that are attractive, single, and attracted to me. In the rare instance that I am talking to a woman incidentally in public, she will always mention her boyfriend. But usually I am never around women i could date at all. My hobbies are all either solitary or male dominated so meeting women thru such channels is out as well
/r/seduction05/11/25 08:09 PM
1

Yeah I get that. But like i said, i am almost 30 years old and i havent even kissed anyone that i first met irl, and all romantic encounters in my life have come from apps. Isn’t it concerning, that people half my age have had some sort of romantic encounter with people they’ve first met irl, when I myself an nearly 30 and all my romantic experience has come from apps?
/r/seduction03/11/25 01:59 AM
0

Wow that’s basically completely the opposite of me
/r/seduction03/11/25 12:01 AM
1

It’s not that I’m not willing to put in the work. There are legitimate constraints that drastically lower my chances of dating women I’ve first met irl, that can’t be changed just by “putting in the work” or “putting myself out there” or whatever
/r/seduction02/11/25 11:43 PM
1

I guess that is indeed true. People do to exaggerate their dating stories. But on the flip side, the fact I am nearly 30 and havent even kissed a woman I have first met irl is concerning
/r/seduction02/11/25 11:19 PM
-1

Like i said, there are things about my situation that i accept. But it is worrying that basically literally everybody else has at least some precedent of having dating someone they first met irl, and I have none. I bet you yourself have dated somebody you met irl at least once. But it is worrying when one has made it to my age and never even kissed someone they first met irl
/r/seduction02/11/25 11:18 PM

Cool story bro. But I’m not here to talk about cold approach
/r/seduction02/11/25 10:48 PM
1

It’s not as much about what others think of me for only using apps. But what gets to me is how everybody else seemingly has dated somebody they’ve met in real life, and that never happens for me. I don’t think it’s my fault i havent dated someone i first met irl
/r/seduction02/11/25 10:44 PM

The greatest factor in meeting women is luck. People like to think somehow that they can learn to cultivate certain attributes that supposedly increase their chances, but it is all an illusion. Luck is not only the biggest factor, it is the only one. The entirely of ones romantic success by far and away comes down to luck
/r/seduction21/09/25 10:03 PM

Dating apps have always been the only way I have been able to meet women. When people say “Just get off the apps and try real life”, it makes me want to punch someone. Meeting women in real life is NOT a reality in my life at all, so dating apps is all I have and all I will have to be able to meet women. I am 29 years old, and have NEVER dated, hooked up with, or even kissed a woman I have initially met irl, and ALL my previous encounters began with a swipe on an app. Every. Single. One. It’s ge…
/r/seduction21/09/25 09:39 PM

Hope that my luck turns. Luck is the primary factor in my own lived experience as far as meeting women is concerned. I think I’ll just have to keep swiping on apps and waiting long times for a good match, and somehow I just need to make the waiting more tolerable. I feel that is all I can do
/r/seduction21/09/25 09:31 PM
1

I’m frankly not interested in paying a coach or getting some sort of wingman, I genuinely wouldnt like trying to meet women thru cold approach or in public or something. I’m skeptical about paying someone for pro photos for a dating app profile, and I don’t think there would be much return on an investment like that anyhow. I’m sorry man, I really don’t want to shoot down people’s advice like this, but in this case even if you mean well I don’t believe these suggestions will get me anywhere
/r/seduction21/09/25 08:52 PM
1

Cold approach is not suited to my personality and changing one’s bio and pics on dating apps doesnt usually help. Apologies for coming across as dismissive, but this is the reality as I perceive it
/r/seduction21/09/25 08:34 PM
2

How the hell do I get more leads tho? Leads don’t really happen in my life other than just waiting for a good match on a dating app to come along
/r/seduction21/09/25 05:03 PM
3

Yeah as I said I like hanging out with women I’m attracted to and sleeping with them. What I hate the most about dating is the process of finding someone, and how long I have to wait between encounters. As i said, I would be content about the fact that most of the time I’m only ever with the same girl for a few weeks if I could actually find new women in a timely manner
/r/seduction20/09/25 04:57 PM

Focusing on enjoying the moment might work, but like I said I have to wait so damn long between hookups. I’d be content with my relationships not lasting long if I could find more women to sleep with in a timely manner. But as I have said I cannot. It all comes down to waiting for months or years until I match with a woman and things get far enough that I hook up with her, and that means there is so much pressure on each viable opportunity. Furthermore it’s frustrating to wait so long to find an…

Really it’s the state of affairs in general, and also I think it would be more fair if women approached men and some of that burden were taken off of us. I am introverted and it feels contrived trying to chat up any woman, and also I have never ended up dating a woman I have initially met in real life. I do think if women were more inclined to approach I would at least have a minute chance of meeting a woman in the wild and eventually dating her, but then again I usually don’t encounter women I …

I always assume that there is no forever in my dating life. If I wanted someone to marry and spend the rest of my life with, I was supposed to have met her in school. Past a certain age, nobody is getting someone to grow old with, but only someone to be old with. Furthermore I always believed it is pointless to get married in older ages than 30-35 or so, since the woman in question would have lived so much of her life without you
/r/seduction18/09/25 09:39 PM
2

The thing i dislike is all the stupid things one has to do just to meet a women and get her in one’s bed, and I hate all the waiting for months and months I have to do on apps to get any viable lead, and I hate how much little agency I have as far as meeting women is concerned. I would be more content with the fact my relationships or flings dont last long if I could easily attain another woman in short order after they end. But that’s never been the case. I always have to wait such a long time

A woman with the same aspirations doesnt have to put forth any effort to achieve that, that is the difference. We men on the other hand have to jump thru all these hoops to attain it. Why should all the burden of the approach be on us?
/r/seduction18/09/25 09:21 PM

There arent really any dateable women that I encounter in my day to day life at all tho. In the places I frequent, there are none, and even if there were they would more or less have to approach me first
/r/seduction18/09/25 09:18 PM
2

I have considered that before, but a problem is that I can’t get women in a timely manner. I would need far longer than a two week trip abroad to be able to get a date out of it. I would have to spend months in whatever other country and keep swiping on apps and hoping. I’m not the kind of guy that can get laid while traveling. Furthermore I dont know what country I would go to for that. Some would say southeast asia, but broadly I am not attracted to east asian women. I live in the US but I am …

As i said in my original post, all meeting women comes down to is luck. I guess in my case I haven’t been fortunate enough for women at concerts to approach me, either that or I’m not very approachable or it’s the case that literally all the women at shows I’ve gone to are taken. But concerts are always sausage fests unless it’s like taylor swift or something, so the pickins are slim to begin with

I guess you’re operating on a different set of parameters, there’s no way I’d be able to do that, especially since I have never hooked up with any women I’ve initially met in real life. If I were at a concert and ended up sleeping with a woman I met there, it would certainly be because she would approach me first and not the other way around. But I never have been approached by a woman at a concert I’ve been to, and like I said, in almost all cases the women at concerts are there with their boyf…

The men who pay for strippers or whores are losers because innately, they are being financially exploited by the women whose services they seek. These women in question have no respect for the men who seek them out, and they see these guys as nothing more than pathetic, desperate paypigs. All they see with these guys are dollar signs, all they see are lonely and desperate men to exploit and part with their money. Often I have thought of what the future of my dating life is, but certainly i dont see myself ever getting married, and I have had a vasectomy so no children either. I’m at least comforted by the fact I never wanted marriage or children, otherwise I would be much more worried. I guess what i would want is to be able to hook up with women in their 20s for as long as I am able. I dont want to date women my age or older, as the majority of them have all these expectations and want things like marri…

I see your point but i reiterate i would not do it. I would not want to hook up with any woman that’s had thousands of partners like that. Furthermore, guys who spend money on the sex industry are all losers. Guys that pay for porn and strippers are losers, and guys who pay for escorts are as well. I have zero respect for any women who work in the sex industry and would never give them any money

Everything. The getting a match, having to text her, having to build attraction and set up a date and do all that. All the social jockeying one has to do to hook up with a woman. Also just the long stretches of waiting and swiping is what gets to me too. I’d feel better if i felt like I could consistently get opportunities. That way when a thing with any woman fizzes out because I hate maintaining relationships or the novelty wears off I could easily get another instead of having to wait for the…

The problem with lowering my standards is that any intimacy with a woman i would consider less attractive would feel like I’m lying thru my teeth about wanting to do anything with her, and I would feel terrible. It has already happened once before and after that I said never again. I cant really get into it as far as hooking up with a given woman is concerned unless the woman I’m with is attractive enough to make me feel excited about hooking up with her

But how do I deal with lack of intimacy and things like that? I wouldnt want to use escorts, since they’re illegal where I live, and i dont want to sleep with any woman who has had hundreds or thousands of partners even if it were legal. There’s basically no way i can see myself ever getting married. I would have to have a multi year relationship first, and that would be very difficult. Also even if I were in a situation where somehow I were to end up dating the same woman for multiple years, I would be very resistant to the idea of moving in together since I like living alone too much. That, sir, is a false equivalency. The key difference is that in exercise, one gets out what he puts in. As long as one goes to the gym, does heavy compound movements, and has good nutrition, he will improve. But in learning cold approach, one can keep at it for months and see absolutely no result, just rejection after rejection. Cold approach is not for everyone, i know that I would never attempt it, nor should most guys. Cold approach is a humiliation ritual for most guys. All my romantic success has come from apps anyhow. The notion that cold approach will fix the dating problems of most men is innately flawed. The touting of cold approach to men as the answer needs to stop!

I don’t think cold approach is worth it at all, only a small percentage of guys are able to make it work anyhow

It is irrelevant how many women I have or have not approached irl
/r/seduction25/05/25 03:43 AM

Why should I worry exactly? How is relying on apps any different than relying on something else?
/r/seduction25/05/25 03:41 AM

What’s sad about it exactly? I don’t feel sad about it, just curious what would be like were I to meet and eventually date someone without apps. But in any case I can’t hold out for that. Even if I meet a woman that I spend the rest of my life with, I am more or less certain I’d meet her on an app
/r/seduction24/05/25 09:32 PM
1

I do believe everyone’s match numbers have decreased to an extent. As for myself, usually only a couple matches a year lead to me actually meeting up with the woman in question, but this is par for the course since I recognize that due to my lifestyle and personality I’m not compatible with the average woman on apps, or the average woman in general. The women who do tend to be interested in me are always outside the norm as far as what they are like
/r/seduction24/05/25 07:08 PM
1

Indeed this is the case. But for some reason there are some who assert that meeting women irl is better, but in my opinion apps are actually more forgiving despite their flaws, and despite the quality of apps having gone downhill somewhat
/r/seduction24/05/25 07:06 PM

I see. It doesnt make me sad that I’ve never met any women I’ve dated thru in person channels, but it does make me feel strange. Almost everyone, even it they mainly rely of apps now, at least have one story in their life about how they ended up with a girl they met in class, or met at a party somewhere or thru friends, and I have none. All the stories I have of meeting any women I’ve dated begins with swiping right on some app

I think as well there are some who think dating was better when online dating wasnt a thing yet, but I would assume that dating always sucked for most, and that there never was a thing to do or a place to go to meet women. Its so puzzling to me when I see guys bitch and moan about dating apps. Dating apps gave me a dating life in the first place. All the women I have done anything with all came from dating apps, I have not ever in my life first met a woman organically and eventually dated or hooked up with her. Literally any time I’ve dated or hooked up with any woman, it’s been a woman I met on an app. I find it absolutely laughable when guys keep complaining about online dating

Dont waste time and effort doing cold approaches. Buy a subscription to hinge instead and start swiping. For most guys, cold approach isnt worth the time, effort, and emotional distress. I lost my virginity at 21 and to this very day I have NEVER hooked up with, dated, or even kissed a girl I didnt first meet on an app. I have NEVER dated a woman I have initially met in real life, and have NEVER had to cold approach in my entire life. Perhaps such has worked for you, but for most introverts they’re better off paying for a hinge subscription. Also when we see guys that do well with cold approach, there’s almost always survivorship bias involved. For every one man who has mastered the learning curve of cold approach, dozens have quit. For every one man for whom cold approach has improved his confidence, there are dozens who by trying to cold approach only destroyed their confidence further. Cold approach should not be touted as…

I’m an introvert myself, and my genuine advice about meeting women for introverts is not to approach them in public. Instead, pay for a subscription to hinge and start swiping. For introverts, it’s better to do this than to put a bunch of time and energy trying to chat up women in public and have things go nowhere. I’m 28 and have never approached a woman in public that I’m interested in, and all my romantic experiences have come from apps. Stop trying to force a square peg into a round hole and…

The thing about these women is they will never be able to hide their pasts. Once something is put on the internet, it could very well be there forever. When these women want to settle down, they wont be able to hide their pasts (though some sucker will still rationalize marrying them). I do believe as well that in about 15 years, some poor kid will find the porn his mom made and put on the internet before he was born. Dating apps gave me the opportunity to have a dating life in the first place. I used to think that it was weird that in my case all my romantic experience has come from apps, but truly I am grateful for them now. It’s overly simplistic to assume that IRL encounters are automatically more effective for everyone or that dating apps are merely a ‘last resort.’ The truth is, many people simply don’t live in environments conducive to meeting dateable people in everyday situations. For some of us, real-life opportunities are limited by our routines, social circles, work environments, or even where we live. Apps provide a practical solution to this reality. Consider that, on dating apps, people are actively loo…

If dating apps are so insanely inferior, why have they gotten me dates when real life has never? In ten years time, they got me all the romantic experience I’ve ever had. Real life hasn’t gotten me anywhere. I haven’t kissed or gone on a date with a woman I’ve initially met in real life. Either way trying to meet women in real life and “just going outside” or whatever is no solution. It’s leaving way too many things up to chance. When approaching any woman in real life, you don’t know anything about her, you have nothing to go off of, you don’t know if she’s single or whether or not she has kids (and if a woman has kids it’s a dealbreaker in my eyes), you don’t know if she’s in the mood to talk to whatever random guy is bothering her, etc. There’s way too much at stake and too m…

I bet you tell a homeless man to just buy a house too. Then he won’t be homeless anymore right. That comment was literally like telling a clinically depressed person to just cheer up and be happy. Some advice that is lol

One problem I have tho is since I don’t meet women in my everyday life and I’ve never dated anybody I’ve first met in real life, I can’t imagine a scenario in which I do initially meet a woman irl. My mind just can’t really conceive of that possibly since it’s never happened for me. I keep thinking that since I’ve gotten this far without it he opening that it will never. And even if I met a dateable woman irl I wouldn’t know what to do to get a date out of it since it’s never happened for me lik…

How often do you actually meet up with girls from apps? Usually if I’m in my case it’s one girl or two per year. Sounds pretty bad but that’s how it is. Also the longest relationship I’ve ever had was one year. Other than that one nothing has lasted any longer than a month with any woman I’ve done anything with

Didn’t they only just make it legal for a man to walk hand in hand in public with his girlfriend in the KSA? I don’t know much about Saudi culture or social norms there, but in any case there are probably other middle eastern nations that aren’t as conservative where one might be more likely to succeed I would imagine

Perhaps spend some time taking any mechanical advantage out of the lift. So try benching close grip, no arch, no leg drive, no feet on the bench. Last one is optional, but at least take the arch and leg drive out and bench with the same grip one might overhead press with. That said, the overhead press is the better lift in my opinion, and I personally do not bench. Also try sets with lower reps, so go heavy and do 2-5 reps per set, and keep pushing those numbers. How fast do you usually progress…

I've been on a dry spell for a few years, OLD is getting played out
/r/seduction11/07/22 07:56 PM
0

I'm an introverted guy and not really relatable to most people, and also I worry about being seen as some sort of creep for approaching in public. Every girl I've slept with I've met online and I never learned to pull a girls from start to finish irl. Plus with the learning curve being what it is even if I tried I would eventually get discouraged and give up. I'm thoroughly convinced that cold approach isn't for me
/r/seduction11/07/22 03:30 AM
1

I've talked about it in other threads
/r/seduction11/07/22 03:12 AM
1

I certainly don't believe I'd do well with cold approach even if I tried very hard, it just doesn't suit me at all. Yet most people on here have told me that's what I need to be doing
/r/seduction11/07/22 02:57 AM
1

That's what I think is odd. This sub likes to recommend cold approach as the best method for most guys, but the majority of men will be able to get any good at it. Almost everyone either never tries it or gives up.
/r/seduction10/07/22 07:06 PM
1

I have to find things to do that aren’t a sausage fest. Everybody says that meetup groups and the like is mostly single guys with the same idea. It would be nice to be able to cold approach but I agree it’s the hardest option. But then again, I don’t really have any good options at all
/r/seduction05/07/22 04:18 PM
1

I can relate to this. I've been on a long dry spell and I want to end it the right way. For a while now I've been saying to myself that my next girlfriend has to be better than my last one. Last year I had the opportunity to hook up with three different women, but I never pulled the trigger since I had similar doubts as you, though in hindsight none of those girls would have been that bad at all. Since I'm an introverted guy I don't have many outlets to meet women, and now that apps don't work f…

Makes sense, it's a bit harder since I'm no longer in college but still doable I think. I agree with what you say about cold approach as well, that's exactly the point I've been trying to make. I can see why I liked the idea of apps, though I've now figured out that I can no longer rely on them

/r/seduction02/07/22 10:03 PM

Mäurer & Wirtz 4711, the original cologne. No need to use anything else

I lift already, it's made me more confident but it hasn't affected my success with women at all
/r/seduction02/07/22 05:27 PM

Women aren't attracted to bigger muscles as much as they are attracted to low bodyfat and abs. From my experience if you lift but don't have those two things girls won't care and will just think you're fat. A powerlifter's physique isn't attractive to most women. Girls don't care how strong you are either, just that you look "toned", however stupid that word is. As Zyzz once said, "When is a girl ever going to ask how much you squat?". I don't train for aesthetics or to attract women, I train be…

/r/seduction30/06/22 02:56 PM

/r/seduction30/06/22 02:33 AM

I did also go to an event last weekend, the hindu temple I go to had a mini festival to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new temple. Managed to talk to a few people there as well. Felt a little out of place at first since I was one of the few non-Indians there, but I had a good time and there was free food
/r/seduction30/06/22 02:07 AM

I'm not really sure there's any women into those sorts of things. I've never encountered any, neither irl nor online
/r/seduction30/06/22 12:24 AM

Been talking to him about this for a few weeks, he says perhaps I shouldn’t focus as much on meeting women and right now I’ve put too much pressure on myself. At the same time the year is half over and I don’t think the dry spell will end this year so I feel like I need to do something but I have little idea of what I should be focusing on

/r/seduction29/06/22 06:15 PM

Maybe I’d try yoga, probably wouldnt do dancing tho since I don’t really like to dance
/r/seduction29/06/22 06:03 PM

Yeah I have no idea why she would do that but I was pissed. I wasn’t seeing that girl long enough for it to have been exclusive, but you’d think a girl would keep her paramours separate from one another at least. I can’t comprehend how she would do that and expect me to be ok with it, in any case that display was a huge sign of disrespect. Are most guys just indifferent to that sort of thing?
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:58 PM
1

Last time I did that it ended badly. Basically the girl brought the other guy she was seeing to my show for whatever reason(I had no idea about this dude until that point). Idk why she thought that was a good idea but I definitely wasn’t happy. Plus when you invite girls to shows you can’t really interact with them until after anyway
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:51 PM
1

I’ve learned it’s actually unadvisable to invite girls to your own shows. Not something I’d do anymore
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:47 PM
3

I know six actually but half of those are classical languages that aren’t spoken natively anymore. Classical languages are easier to learn since you don’t have to actually learn to converse in them, if you memorize a few grammar tables and can read the language with a dictionary then you can say you know it pretty much
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:43 PM
1

That’s really what I want, a better girlfriend than I had last time
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:09 PM
1

Yeah man it’s overwhelming, especially for someone in the position I am
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:08 PM
1

What gives you the impression that I don’t want a relationship? Most of the time I feel like I do want one but I think there’s not very many girls that are actually compatible with me. Sometimes tho I wonder if subconsciously I’m merely trying to live up to a social norm
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:07 PM
1

I do want to end the dry spell on the right terms, that’s kind of my goal. I’m not going to end this dry spell with some girl that’s not as good as my last girlfriend
/r/seduction29/06/22 05:01 PM
2

Ok I’ll try
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:59 PM

I have heard good things about czechkia, never been there tho
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:58 PM

Could do something like that when I go to Germany again. Every so often I go there since a lot of my relatives are there, I speak the language too and since I’m a citizen so I can stay for as long as I want
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:54 PM
2

I got that one already
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:52 PM

All my life I’ve been pretty risk averse for whatever reason, which is another problem
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:48 PM
1

I tie my hair back fairly often actually
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:43 PM
1

I just have this weird aversion to making initial advances on girls irl for some reason
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:43 PM
1

What did you do to change?
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:41 PM
1

It’s never happened to me and I don’t know anyone who’s met their SO thru such channels either
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:40 PM
1

To have better intent with women I’m interested in I need to meet more women in general, right now there’s none on my radar
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:36 PM
1

You’re right, I shouldn’t put the added pressure of trying to meet women on myself
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:34 PM
1

For what it’s worth I am pretty good at recognizing patterns and analyzing what I’ve done in the past in my life and what I could have done differently
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:33 PM
1

I need to find a way to shut those feelings up but nothing’s worked thus far
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:31 PM
1

What attractive women are going out with socially awkward weirdos?
/r/seduction29/06/22 04:30 PM
1

Problem is I can’t tell my mind otherwise, I’m locked into this way of thinking that I have. My mind considers any positive thinking to just be cope. With online dating it was the only way I could meet girls but I hardly get matches anymore, hence why I say that river’s dried up. I could maybe expand my social circle but I can’t count on meeting women thru social circle game, it feels just as daunting to me as cold approach in some respects
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:28 PM
1

So i should focus on mindset for now? So far I haven’t been able to convince myself that there can be different, positive outcomes to what I’ve already mentioned
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:25 PM
2

Really?
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:24 PM
1

I want to get this handled but I’m confused about what I should do; any option I consider seems like a long shot so it’s overwhelming for me
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:23 PM
1

How much success have you had?
/r/seduction29/06/22 12:24 PM
1

You’re right, I can’t count on friends setting me up with someone. That’s literally never come close to happening in my life, I don’t think it really happens to anyone at all actually
/r/seduction29/06/22 12:23 PM
1

I’m already in therapy. Another concern is even if i met women thru hobbies I wouldn’t know how to pursue that completely irl. I feel like I’d get no dates even in an environment that’s mostly women
/r/seduction29/06/22 12:09 PM
1

Worth a shot
/r/seduction29/06/22 12:00 PM
1

On what exactly?
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:42 AM
1

To me all the negativity is just me being honest with myself, whenever I try to think more positively I always come to believe that I’m just giving myself platitudes. I do think I need more guy friends, right now I only have one friend I hang out with on a regular basis
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:11 AM
1

I went to a bar with a friend last week, that’s one thing I guess
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:09 AM
1

I’m open to trying my luck abroad but I’m not quite sure how
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:02 AM
1

I’ve always heard to approach at the gym is unadvisable so idk if I’d try that. Especially not at the gym I go to which is a small weightlifting gym where everyone knows each other. If I trained at a commercial gym at least it would be a bunch more random girls but even in that case I wouldn’t try it
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:01 AM
1

How long did it take you to get good?
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:57 AM
1

Yeah I mean at the end of the day I guess there’s guys worse off than me who found success. If I actually got a number from cold approach I would know how to go from there, it’s just making the initial advance that’s the real sticking point
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:57 AM
1

I think I need a lot of work tho
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:51 AM
0

I’m not trying for 9s and 10s, they’re more trouble than they’re worth. 7s and 8s is more what I’m looking for. Not trying to date instagram models
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:50 AM
1

Not really into dancing at all
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:48 AM
1

It also seems like it’s almost only guys that are into the same things as I am. But if I met a girl thru hobbies somehow I wouldn’t be able to really act in it anyway. I appear to have some kind of aversion to making initial advances on girls irl. None of my past hookups ever happened that way so I never really learned that skill
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:47 AM
1

That’s a good point, the whole process seems really daunting right now tho. I’m not really sure what I should focus on at the moment
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:43 AM
1

I’ve done martial arts in the past. Aikido when I was a kid and when I was in college I dabbled in fencing but it mostly consisted of reading old books about it that I found online. After I started lifting tho I got hooked on that instead. I think I could learn Judo or something tho, that’d be interesting
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:41 AM
2

Maybe I should focus on that, but I feel like at the same time my dating life is kinda passing me by. I’ve never been content with it, I’ve always had problems with this part of life
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:38 AM
6

So far the classical languages I know are Latin, Old Norse, and Sanskrit. I agree I would ideally need a girl who’s more into intellectual types, but they really do seem hard to come by. If you say they tend to be quieter then that works against me too. Most of the girls I’ve been with have been somewhat extroverted and also made it pretty obvious they were into me, so with quieter, less easy girls it would be more difficult to make a move, especially irl. But then again, idk where I’d even find…
/r/seduction29/06/22 10:35 AM

I’d say playing bass is what I do best, but right now my band hasn’t been playing any shows since we’re between drummers right now. It’s essentially become a studio only project at this point

I'll check out that channel. I've done things like try and make small talk to cashiers as well. I'm not sure how I would have done in the days before apps. On one hand the apps no longer work for me, but on the other hand if it wasn't for apps I would still be a virgin. Then again, the dry spell has gone on so long that I feel like a virgin once more
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:58 AM

Yeah I know that but every option seems like kind of a dead end
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:53 AM

I honestly look better with the mustache, I've tried going without but I look too young without one. I can't grow a full beard but if I could I'd try growing one. One thing I wouldn't do is cut my hair really short, I'm a rock n roller and it wouldn't look right. It's at least shorter than it used to be. Right now it's a little past shoulder length but a couple years back it was more than halfway to waist length. One reason why I split up with my last gf is because she tried to get me to cut my …

/r/seduction29/06/22 03:50 AM

What I mean is that I'm introverted, somewhat socially awkward, and just kinda weird. I don't really fit the conventional mold of what women want in this respect. Don't they want more extroverted, social guys that have a lot of friends and go out often?
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:49 AM
0

I don't think I'm that unattractive, but I don't have a very conventional sense of style either. I have long hair and a mustache and I dress in a more vintage style, so my whole look is more niche anyway and has less mass appeal I think. I've seen guys less attractive than me or skinny pipsqueaks who don't lift have more success with women than I do
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:46 AM

It's hard to make friends after college. Plus most of the time I like to be by myself, it just feels peaceful that way.
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:41 AM

As I keep saying I've never pulled a girl irl from start to finish, I never learned how to do so at the age when I was supposed to. I have no confidence in my ability to meet women irl. At least with apps you know that the girls on there are looking to meet someone (if they're not bots), and they won't be startled or offended if you start talking to them. I'm introverted and somewhat socially awkward, I really can't force myself to approach irl. It would most likely make girls uncomfortable, or …

I know the remedy is action, but I'm not necessarily convinced cold approach is the best action
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:34 AM
4

I say in the post why I can't rely on social circle or hobbies
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:29 AM
4

That's the problem, I haven't found a viable way to do that. I wish the apps actually worked and weren't just a huge racket
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:24 AM
7

You really think so? I guess even if I got numbers most of them would be flakes in the end anyway
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:21 AM
3

I'll look into it at least, surprised I've never thought of that before
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:19 AM
5

Hence why I shouldn't count on meetup groups. For a guy like me tho cold approach is unlikely to have a reward that's worth the effort. I don't think there's really a good answer for me except pray that the right girl comes along and rely on sheer luck, but I'll die of old age before that happens
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:18 AM
5

I've thought about it but as I said it seems antithetical to my own nature and idk how I'd make it work. The learning curve is so steep that it would take me years to even get a number, and I doubt any dates I would get from it would be any more attractive than what I'm used to getting from apps, which usually weren't anything to write home about. Maybe there's reasons why I should try cold approach, but is the juice really worth the squeeze? I'm really not sure it would be in the end
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:15 AM
25

hmm never thought of language exchange actually, but that's a decent idea. Only thing though is I've only ever pulled girls from apps, trying fully irl is uncharted territory for me. When I was in college I never went out with any girls from class, for example
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:12 AM
82

Weightlifting, playing music, instrument collecting, learning languages (especially ancient ones), reading my religion's scriptures, weed
/r/seduction29/06/22 03:05 AM
1

I don't really think that helps
/r/seduction25/06/22 08:44 PM
1

At the very least I don't pay for them anymore, it's exactly like video games that have a pay-to-win type scheme. Idk how I'll transition to approaching irl when I've used apps as a crutch this whole time. I'm a really introverted guy so approaching kinda works against my nature
/r/seduction25/06/22 08:40 PM
3

Girls only care if you lift if you have abs. If you don't have abs to them it's like you don't lift. So if you're naturally lean and have abs you'll attract more attention, and if you aren't you won't. I've gotten less attention from women after I started lifting than before, but I'm not naturally lean so girls probably just think I'm fat
/r/seduction25/06/22 08:33 PM
1

Not saying it would devalue the stock, but maybe one of the mods has such loyalties and couldn't stand to see someone dissing the apps lol. I agree 100% with the post you made the other day, but for someone like me the apps have literally been my only option. I want to stop using apps but I don't think I'll ever be able to approach irl. The apps are poison but I have nowhere else to go to even try my luck
/r/seduction25/06/22 08:30 PM

That was a good post too, but the mods were like "shut it down" for some reason. Perhaps one of them has stock in Match Group or something?
/r/seduction25/06/22 08:23 PM

Idk how I'd even start, it seems approaching for real is such a long way away
/r/seduction24/06/22 01:36 AM

That's a good idea as well. Even if I just consistently go out tho eventually the pain of not approaching may become too much to bear. That's kinda what I'm counting on, that if I go enough times I'll be compelled to approach
/r/seduction23/06/22 06:01 PM

I feel like right now I should just concentrate on going out at least once a week, then I can worry about approaching once I make that a habit

The original music my band plays isn't necessarily what most girls are into, but at our shows we've always gotten the crowds to dance while playing covers. That said for the past couple years my band has been relegated to a studio-only project since we're having a hard time finding a drummer. Back in the earlier days of the band I would dress up more for gigs but when we started going on tour my stage clothes became more practical and less flashy since I wanted to wear stuff that would stand up …

Any overt display of SJW or radical left ideology from a woman is grounds for immediate disqualification as a prospective partner in my book. One of the things I really liked about my last girlfriend is that she never brought up politics at all. I can’t stand people who make all these manufactured political ideologies their identity. At the end of the day the SJW thing is what the asshole politicians want people to believe since it distracts them from the real issues that matter. They want peopl…

Smoking weed is something I always did with pretty much every girl I've been with. Normally I'll bring a couple joints to share but usually she'll have her own as well. My last gf used to roll me blunts every time I would go over to her house lol. If I'm going to smoke with anyone tho the ideal situation is if both parties have some to contribute. If she's cool, she'll provide weed in addition to what you bring. It's good courtesy to always bring some of your own, so I would stick to that rule.

It's weird because plenty of girls have told me that I look sorta like Robert Plant, who of course was a huge chad in his prime. So yeah it's probably not my looks that's the problem, I think it's my own psychology that is

It really is hard tho when I've always relied on apps
/r/seduction13/06/22 05:06 PM

Really I get the feeling that believing I can would be a comforting lie that I'd tell myself, there's no way I can truthfully believe that

What sort of tricks? I think I'd have to approach at least 1000 women before I got any leads, but knowing myself I'd give up long before then
/r/seduction12/06/22 04:35 PM

I don't really feel scared but it feels like there's something blocking me from approaching. In my mind I think I'd just be bothering any girl I would try to approach. I worry that something will go wrong and the girl will take her phone out, snap a pic of me, and use it to shame me on the internet or something. With all the social conditioning in society today I doubt many women would be receptive of me approaching them, I have a gut feeling it would scare them or make them uncomfortable.

I already hit the gym regularly but in my experience girls don't care if you lift. There's been a lot of girls in my life I've sort of admired from afar that were dating skinny pipsqueaks or guys that obviously didn't lift. I've seen guys much worse looking than I am with a hot girl on their arm. It makes me ask myself what's wrong with me.

Not much really but it's all so daunting. I only ever learned how to meet women via apps. During adolescence I never learned how to engage women irl like you're supposed to at that age. In my life I never felt like I was getting the results I should be getting. Despite the fact that I'm decent looking and a fairly interesting guy it took me until my third year of college to lose my virginity, at the old age of 21. It should NOT have taken that long. Experience wise I have about as much as the av…

Idk if night game would really be my thing, I don't like going out much and usually I go to bed early every night. Daygame would be better I think but as I said it's gonna take years to get anywhere, and by that time it'll be too late and I'll have lost my looks

I get some matches on dating apps but not as many as before. Even if I get matches nowadays the conversation goes nowhere. I used to get more matches and even dates from apps but no longer. As for what I look like imagine a cross between Blake from Workaholics and Kurt Vile, that's a good approximation of how I look, and I have long blonde hair and a mustache. People tell me I look like I could have been in a rock band circa 1968. I'm 6' tall and semi jacked but I don't have abs. I'm not ugly, b…

I kinda know what to say but I never really can approach. I always feel what I'm doing is socially unacceptable and that people will think I'm weird. Unfortunately with all these social conditioning psyops by the SJWs and mainstream media I feel like few, if any women would want to be approached by me. I'm not ugly but I don't have the look most girls want either. In any case I'm not sure cold approach will work
/r/seduction12/06/22 04:01 PM

In a lot of respects I don't really know what to do. I have this vague goal about learning to approach irl but I think it'll be years before I'm able at this rate

I have long hair myself, the last time I had short hair was middle school which was over a decade ago. In my experience some girls have liked it, but at the same time I feel like I'm closing myself off to a lot of women since many don't really prefer that. It's like how guys that are jacked usually don't do as well with women as some think since it doesn't have as much mass appeal. Pretty much all girls like skinny guys, but fewer like the ones that are either jacked or fat. With hair length I f…

Maybe I shouldn't post here again until I do something like that
/r/seduction02/06/22 02:45 AM

I guess I'll start doing some of those drills and going from there, it'll be a long time until I'm ready to actually approach but I need to see it through
/r/seduction02/06/22 02:41 AM
1

Hence why I used the word "yet" in the first place. I think I said before it's the initial contact that I haven't been able to do but I think I'll be fine after that if I actually get a number. I've been able to set up dates enough times after first meeting girls online and I know how that process all goes. It's literally just approaching irl that's tripping me up
/r/seduction02/06/22 02:00 AM
3

I know I do and it all seems daunting as I've said before. Right now trying to cold approach outright is something I wouldn't be able to do yet so I have to focus on working up until I'm actually able to. I don't think my dry spell will end this year but I have to do something
/r/seduction02/06/22 12:34 AM

I usually go for girls who also smoke; my last girlfriend used to roll blunts for me every time I visited her

I'll keep doing it, only just started but there's this kinda cute cashier at my local grocery store that I've made small talk with once or twice. I figure I need to get used to talking to women more in any context

It's like a claw machine, they have software in them so they can be programmed to have only a certain percentage of wins out of the total games played. Dating apps are a racket, they're nothing but a huge scam exploiting and monetizing people's loneliness. I'm never paying for apps again

/r/seduction27/05/22 01:51 AM

I guess you're right about that last bit. It's just the initial interaction irl that's the hurdle for me, once I get the number it's no different than having gotten the number from a girl on an app

I still thing it's going to take a very long time before I'll be ready to approach at all

Ok, so I should focus on just getting out there and not concern myself with trying to approach just yet? I think that's a good way to start but this dry spell has gone one now for a very long time. Then again I need to do a lot of things before I'm remotely comfortable approaching at all. I hope I can find social events that appeal to me, it feels like it's going to take a lot for me to actually pry myself out of the house for once.

One thing that just came to my mind is that it's be the initial stages of game that give me the most trouble. In the past I would always compensate by using apps but that's not an option anymore. If I can just get past the trouble I have with the initial approach and number close I think I should be OK, unless I mess something up profoundly. I'm a member of a gym anyway, it's a very small community and there's a few people there I talk to when I see them. At the end of the day I'm not a very social person, I'm honestly not sure how much I can improve. Idk what events I'd do still, to go out anywhere I'd really have to force myself to leave the house. That's what I keep getting at, wanting to improve my dating life is kind of a paradox when most of the time I prefer to be alone anyway. Even if I do all the right things and land a girl I actually like she probably would find my lifestyle and interests boring. Any attractive girl wants a normal, soc…

A little bit but it doesn't feel like it's making a difference. Yeah exactly I think one reason is that before I started lifting I was in a more desperate mindset and thought I should take what I could get. The bottom line is if you have trouble getting girls when you don't lift, you probably will still have trouble when you do. Yeah I can see why some would would get the wrong vibe from such a word. I should have seen it coming, no matter what you write on the internet someone is bound to take offense. I wasn't looking for special techniques, it's just the context of such an interaction would be different than talking to girls on the street or at some event. Most flirting I've done in my life has been via text, and irl I've only flirted with women whom I initially engaged online or thru text. In a chekout line time to …

As Pook says, getting the girl is not the success. I'm fully aware women aren't prizes to be won. Like I said I'm not expecting a whole lot out of this interaction, I just want to see how far it will go. If it goes no further than mere small talk then so be it, I won't feel bad

The low carb for extended periods messing with testosterone is true from my personal experience. Went to the doctor for a checkup when I had been on it for over a year and I was quite shocked by the bloodwork that came back. It's better now tho, and I've noticed easier gains recently as well since I started eating carbs again. In hindsight I was on such a diet for longer than I should have been, for over a year I had no grain or carb-heavy foods of any kind. Now that I think about it no wonder m…

Very good, you got a good program in the gym too? I myself had success with low carb diet, but after a few months my metabolism slowed down and I reintroduced carbs to an extent. I still don't eat white flour or refined carbs but I drink milk and eat rice which gives me enough for the day. The low carb diet was a good start but after I reintroduced carbs to a limited degree I've actually gotten even leaner. As long as the carbs are a good source and not consumed in excess they'll give you all th…

I never implied that it was those features specifically that made me decent looking, I was merely describing my own appearance after saying that. Perhaps you misread what I was actually saying. I meant those as two separate complete thoughts, hence why there was a semicolon between those clauses

So I'm a racist because I say I have blonde hair and green eyes? Lol ok believe what you want but that's a bit of a stretch, there is literally nothing wrong with having blonde hair or being white. I wouldn't be surprised if you're white yourself but you're saying all this crap anyway. Go back to drinking your soymilk, I bet you can't even squat one plate. Why should I listen to some sjw pipsqueak like yourself?
/r/seduction14/05/22 06:07 PM

This comment gives sjw vibes. How does me saying I have blonde hair and green eyes mean that I'm implying that whiteness is hot? Would you have made such an ignorant comment had I said something other than that? I'm not even going to entertain this, get outta here. Why don't you go read the New York Times instead

Are you doing anything to lose weight rn? I have been and I'm around 30 pounds lighter than I was two years ago. The result of good training and a better diet. That being said I don't think girls care if you lift, I've seen plenty of attractive women fall for skinny pipsqueaks or guys who have an obvious gut. Text game is easier for me since I can actually think about what I want to say next, and because it's not face to face it's less nerve wracking. Conversely I've never initially flirted with…

Yeah but I can't just be like "Me think sexy, you give number". I don't want to have the police called on me or to make this girl that uncomfortable. This is already a situation where I I tried to flirt with this one due to the context I'd have to be subtle
/r/seduction14/05/22 03:59 PM

I have enough confidence to make small talk, that I can do easily. But making initial advances on women in real life is something I haven't really done. Every date I've been on was with someone I initiated contact with online. That's why I can't go into this with any expectation whatsoever. I guess it also helps that this girl isn't a complete knockout even if she isn't bad looking. If I mess up then I won't lose any sleep over the fact, and trying to flirt will be a bit less intimidating.

I wasn't expecting to pull her right out of the gate, like I said I've only made small talk like once or twice. I've mostly ever flirted thru text so irl I'm much less confident in that, I'll have to work up the nerve
/r/seduction14/05/22 12:41 AM

This describes a lot of what I went thru as well, did you ever find a way out?
/r/seduction14/05/22 12:38 AM

The whole point of me making small talk with this girl is to see if there's any rapport. If there is I'd get her number, but it feels strange to ask for something like that in the checkout line

I wouldn't call small talk with this cashier an approach really. I already know there's not much chance I'd get a number out of this, it's really just an experiment. I still don't have the experience or the confidence to approach in the normal sense. I feel like I need some sort of program where I start out doing small things to get my confidence up and developing those skills, and then after a couple weeks/months I'd be able to approach. Sort of like progressive overload in weightlifting. Idk i…
/r/seduction13/05/22 09:32 PM

How would I be able to do that if I have very little experience approaching?
/r/seduction13/05/22 09:28 PM

Wasn't trying to hold her hostage, just was planning on making small talk a few times and if she seemed receptive then I'd try my luck. Really I'm just looking at this like it's practice or something, I have very low expectations as to what I would get out of this interaction. That said I'm still not confident enough to approach women outright, I want to gradually ease myself into being more comfortable doing that but I don't have a specific plan or strategy for that yet.
/r/seduction13/05/22 09:05 PM

So I shouldn't pursue that? Am I better off slowly building up the skill set to use daygame and meet girls that way?
/r/seduction13/05/22 09:02 PM

Exactly. For all we know these women that these numales are dating are sleeping with other guys behind their back or they're only with these types because of the money they make. I always tell myself that the people my age I see getting married will be divorced soon enough anyway, these marriages are doomed to fail.

I try to stay away from the blackpill but I can't help but be drawn to it to a certain extent. Some of what it says explains the predicament I find myself in. It's kind of hard to believe anything else when a lot of it corroborates what I've gone thru

In any case it's just plain weird being decent looking but not really able to attract looksmatch girls. Is the market really that skewed now? On apps I get no matches anymore, never tried real life game from start to finish but I'm sure it's no different
/r/seduction02/05/22 09:43 PM
1

I don't think this is a fixable issue. Like I said I'm not going for girls that look like models or anything, just decent looking women who aren't overweight. Yet even though I don't have drastic standards it seems like these types are all going out with the top 20%. What are we going to do, tell the women they can't date up anymore? lol
/r/seduction02/05/22 04:57 PM
1

It's gotten to a point where I've realized that if I want to actually get laid I'll always have to settle for less than I want. The women I'd actually like to date are off limits, even though my standards are reasonable. I'd be happy with a 6-7 but any looksmatch girls are going for guys that are higher tier than I am

/r/seduction02/05/22 03:48 PM

The same thing happened to me, never got anywhere with girls during high school and I lost my virginity at age 21. For a while I was as bitter about it as you are, that I did all those things at a later age than when it was supposed to happen. After a while you get used to it, I'm 26 now and I don't dwell on the blunders I made a decade ago. Just give it time and the feeling you have will either go away or become less pronounced. There's nothing else you can do
/r/seduction02/05/22 03:43 PM
2

It made me more confident, but I actually get less action now than I did in the past. The fact of the matter is that girls don't care if you lift. It didn't increase what caliber of women were interested either, I busted my ass in the gym only to attract the same type of skags that I normally do. Keep your expectations realistic

So I should just go and put myself out there regardless of all these lingering questions in my head? What's the best way to deal with hesitancy/approach anxiety? I think you may be on to something when you say that I just sit there worrying about all possible outcomes. How can I alleviate all this?

You say you're 120 lb at 5'9? First thing you gotta do is start lifting weights and eating more. I would imagine in your current state that you're skinny as a rail and very lean. In this respect you are lucky, since when you gain weight from working out it will mostly be lean muscle and very little fat. If you're skinnyfat, however, watch your carbs or you'll end up fat for real. Look into a simple barbell program such as stronglifts 5x5 or the program described in the book The Strongest Shall S…

The gym is good, but the reality is that girls don't care if you lift, and even if you workout consistently and improve your physique you probably won't get girls that are hotter than what you're already used to getting. There's plenty of guys for whom what OP says holds true, why would you say it's bullshit. As for why I don't believe I'll get the love life I want there's a few reasons. I'm introverted with niche interests, don't really like going out much, small social circle, and in terms of looks I'm too hot for the ugly women but not hot enough for the attractive women. It's not defeatism, OP is merely saying that most guys should be realistic about what they hope to attain. The average dude is probably not going to get all the results he wants from this sub, yet PUA and all that stuff keeps people on a hamster wheel. Personally I don't think it's realistic for me to expect to attain the love life I want. That's not defeatism, it's knowing the situation for what it is. What OP is saying shouldn't be a taboo subject

Again, OP is telling the truth. This sub should be more open to dissenting opinions. Is the idea that the advice on here doesn't work for everyone just verboten? Is it that taboo a subject?

How are you coping? Any pointers you can give me? I already know I'll never be satisfied with my love life but it's a hard pill to swallow. I still feel bad about it, but I know it's true.
/r/seduction25/04/22 06:02 PM

Yeah no matter what the media would attack us. We're damned if we do and damned if we don't. That's why no real change will ever happen. Society and the powers that be have their own agenda, and they'll fight tooth and nail to maintain the status quo. In the future I won't be surprised if more than half of adult men are virgins. They're gonna just keep plying these guys up with porno and other degenerate stuff just to keep them complacent.
/r/seduction25/04/22 05:53 PM

Online doesn't work, cold approach doesn't work, joining groups relating to your interests just turns into a sausage fest, lowering your standards is degrading. There's just no good answer for most men.

Like I always say, if there's a girl out there for me then she's already going out with guys several tiers above me. Most guys can't win this game, or even get a consolation prize. I feel like there needs to be more activism or conversation about this plight. Maybe we can all write our congressmen and get a group together to get prostitution legalized in the United States, for example. PUA is very much 2008's solution to the dating problem. It was in vogue back then and may have worked for some, but now that the dating world is in an even sorrier state PUA is obsolete. Most guys in this day and age will not get the sort of women or relationships they desire. It's a harsh truth but we as men need to understand this and move on. Even before my current dry spell I would only hook up with 1-2 girls per year, and as I said I settled nearly every time. I would consider it a drastic improvement if I could get one every other month, or at least if I could pull hotter girls than I'm used to getting. Also I get the feeling the sort of women I'm looking for might not get out very much either. It would come down to random chance
/r/seduction24/04/22 11:38 PM

I also worry that my prospects in real life will be the same as they were online, which mostly consisted of women I wasn't interested in and settled for. Meeting someone I actually want is not something I see happening, even if I do put myself out there
/r/seduction24/04/22 10:54 PM

I'm not a very social guy by any description. I have only a few friends and I don't really get out much at all. In order to achieve any measurable results I'd really have to force myself to go out and then it won't even be fun for me. Then again I don't have much of a choice, the apps are all played out. At least with apps I could think more about what I was going to say, but now I get no matches on there
/r/seduction24/04/22 10:37 PM

Idk if I have much approach anxiety but I worry about conversation and the like. Basically I'm worried that I'll never know what to say to build attraction. Also due to my personality most women would probably find me strange or just not what they're looking for. I'm a lot different from most people in that respect so I really don't have much mass appeal. I get the impression most women want extroverted guys that like to go out all the time and I'm just not that.

I really am introverted, I really don't think conventional methods would work for me. You wouldn't be able to teach an ostrich to fly, but it can still run. In much the same way I doubt the usual methods would work in my case, there has to be a better way that plays more into my strengths. The advice for introverts can't only be "just become extroverted, bro". There has to be more options than just that. Otherwise it's like telling an ostrich to just spread its wings and fly.

Ok that makes sense. One potential problem that I'm worried about is finding women like that is likely more difficult. After all, more introverted women probably don't go out as much and they'd more than likely be less receptive to any approaches. Hmm I think I'm looking for women who are decently attractive, not overly basic, vaguely similar interests/tastes to my own, emotionally stable, perhaps introverted like myself. With the shared interests bit it doesn't have to be that exact, I just feel like I'd have more in common with someone who is into vaguely the same things. My cousins that live in the same town as me aren't old enough to drink. I don't really want to date older women, ideally I'd want someone a couple years younger than me. If I joined a yoga class just to meet girls, wouldn't the women be able to sense this? It feels a bit shady to me to go somewhere or do something with the sole purpose of meeting women, I bet any women would be able to see that intent from a mile away.

Such is the nature of the dating market in this day and age. I fully expect to have issues with women/relationships for my entire life. Perhaps my dry spell isn't meant to actually end, maybe I should use this as a sign that I should become a monk or something instead of worry about my love life.

If I don't meet the right girl I'll just focus on my hobbies and my religion. I agree it's all luck man. But I always say the right girl for me is probably already spoken for at this point anyway, most likely with a guy who's a few tiers above me.
/r/seduction21/04/22 04:15 PM

That's the advice I've commonly heard. Going to try it but I'm worried any club will be mostly guys
/r/seduction21/04/22 04:13 PM

My endgame isn't just to hook up, I said I was tired of hooking up with girls I didn't actually care about. With looks and all I'm going for "looksmatch" even though I hate that term. My standards actually aren't that harsh
/r/seduction21/04/22 01:50 AM

What specific red flags exactly? What all would I need to fix? I need to better myself regardless of any dry spell
/r/seduction21/04/22 01:27 AM
5

Bro I've been on tour twice, I'm telling you most musicians don't really get girls any more than the average guy does unless they're famous. It's not like it's the summer of love anymore man
/r/seduction21/04/22 01:21 AM

What if every group I join turns out to be a sausage fest? I've never done adderall or anything more than just weed and booze.

How did you end up breaking your dry spell?
/r/seduction21/04/22 12:58 AM

I don't think hitting up any girls I was previously with is an option
/r/seduction21/04/22 12:47 AM

That's a stereotype tho, none of the guys in bands that I know have more than average luck with women
/r/seduction21/04/22 12:46 AM

Wouldn't it be better to meet someone new?
/r/seduction20/04/22 06:55 PM

One thing I say to myself is that the dry spell has to end the right way. Sure I could settle for less again but I would feel bad and I wouldn't become what I need to become in order to break out of the dry spell in better condition.
/r/seduction20/04/22 06:50 PM

Seems like a good idea, I guess the main problem is keeping from going crazy from the dry spell. Won't be surprised if it lasts at least another year
/r/seduction20/04/22 05:33 PM

My life has been pretty stagnant ever since I graduated from college, which was fall 2019. Been fairly isolated and in sort of a rut since spring 2020. I don't expect any woman to fix my problems
/r/seduction20/04/22 05:14 PM

Well right now I'm just working on going out in public more. Not sure if I'll ever be comfortable with cold approach, I feel like I have to take that slowly
/r/seduction20/04/22 05:09 PM
5

No man I'm not willing to do that again. Done it enough times and it makes me feel awful. Plus in my experience girls like that are often clingy and want a relationship right out of the gate. Not worth it man
/r/seduction20/04/22 05:08 PM
8

Maybe I am overthinking this. I'm still not entirely comfortable cold approaching in public but I'm working on it
/r/seduction20/04/22 04:17 PM

Going thru similar things as you are. It's not easy, but meditation has helped somewhat, as well as going to the gym. Not sure when the dry spell will end, if it will ever end, but I just focus on doing what Marcus Aurelius said and do all the positive things in your life regardless of pain or pleasure. Read his book for more insight.

So you're saying I shouldn't get my hopes up? If that's the case I should just focus on trying to date hotter girls than I'm used to getting but idk how I can actually do that. I've phased out apps but now I'm left without an outlet to meet women, I don't see myself getting anywhere in that department any time soon. My ex girlfriend used to be a stripper, which was something I was never comfortable with. She was alright looking but as far as other than that I still felt like I was settling. I've…

The last time I felt anything like that was pretty damn long ago, and that wasn't anybody I ended up with either. One thing I always say is that if there's a girl out there who's actually interesting and right for me she's with someone else already. Most of the women who have ever shown interest in me weren't the sort I would actually find worthwhile. In the past I learned to suppress the urge to crush on women I know just because I never thought anything would come of it. But now that I'm out o…

It's pretty frustrating man, I almost think the sort of women I actually want don't really exist. Like I said I don't even think I can really do anything about it except hope I'm in the right place at the right time. Even with the one actual girlfriend I had every time I said I loved her it didn't feel like I was really telling the truth.

So it's a matter of putting myself out there more?
/r/seduction14/04/22 04:38 PM

Very good analysis. I see. As an introvert and a beginner in real life game what should I initially focus on? Becoming more sociable, going out more, and getting numbers?

I don't wear skinny jeans and vans, it's flared trousers and chelseas. Think Jimmy Page in 1969. Haven't played many gigs in the past year or so, my band can't find a drummer.

Yeah man that's exactly what I'm trying to get done. The apps have run their course and now I've been figuring out ways to branch out more. I think aspects of it will be daunting but it may be worth a shot. Just wondering tho, why would someone fare better in real life as opposed to apps? What is it about real life game that makes it better for meeting women better than what I'm used to? I remember a few years back I went out with this girl I really wasn't attracted to. I said 6s and 7s is what I was going for. I'm not even trying for ones more attractive than that since they'd get so much attention from other guys that they'd be able to drop me at a moment's notice if they so choose.
/r/seduction13/04/22 07:02 PM

With what you said in the last two lines that's probably it. As far as those guys I didn't know them that well so I couldn't really analyze how they were different than me. I just remember they seemed like fairly unremarkable rock/metal type guys, and the music they played was more derivative than my band's stuff, but yet they still would have a nice looking girl on their arm. Either way it can't be just because I'm a bass player that's causing my lack of success. What's even more ironic is that…

Plenty of guys fitting my description have attractive girlfriends tho. I remember playing shows with other bands and some of those guys would bring their girlfriends to shows, and I would always think "How do they meet somebody like that?". Like they'd have some hot metal chick on their arm while I'm scratching my head wondering why I mostly attract clingy fat girls. If it's not my looks that are the issue maybe there's something else that's off-putting.

There's a pdf of it on the internet somewhere, the book itself is out of print tho. The program in the book recommends that you do power cleans, if you've never done those either learn them from a coach or do high pulls instead.

Idk if it's necessarily if I'm scared, I just don't think it would really work for someone like me. I'm really introverted and don't like going out that much, and as I've said before I doubt I'd find girls that are my type if I were approaching at a bar anyway. I'm not really sure if I'm the sort of guy that could make conventional cold approach work. I'd rather explore alternative methods for the time being. If this makes me confident enough then I can try cold approach later.
/r/seduction11/04/22 02:34 AM

Then I shall

As far as approach methods I don't think the conventional way will work, so this is the best idea I can come up with
/r/seduction11/04/22 01:41 AM

The way I see it something like this would take the pain out of the approach, it would break the ice better than just cold approaching.

Compared to cold approach at bars it feels like something I could actually do
/r/seduction11/04/22 01:05 AM

I'm good enough that I wouldn't make a fool out of myself, and I know quite a few songs as well. Most likely I'd be alright at holding a small conversation, but I've never tried to pull any girls in real life so my abilities in that department are untested. My goal with all this is just to try and get numbers.
/r/seduction11/04/22 12:49 AM
1

I've thought of ways to meet more girls but idk how many of those things would work. Cold approach at bars and stuff like that probably wouldn't be the best for me. I've said in other threads that I could try playing guitar on the street, but that might not do anything for me either. If I joined any groups about my interests I'm sure it would turn out to be a sausage fest so that option's also not very good.
/r/seduction10/04/22 01:02 AM

I can assure you I'm not going for girls who look like models or anything like that. I just want to date girls a tier or two higher than I'm used to getting. In the past I hooked up with girls I wasn't all that attracted to out of desperation and it really wasn't anything I enjoyed. I still have never met a woman who's given me that sort of "spark" that people talk about or whatever. Idk how I'm being shallow at all. My standards aren't unreasonable or too high. But girls not caring you're a musician is kinda like how they don't care if you lift. No girl would ever ask a guy how much he squats or benches, so in much the same way the vast majority of them wouldn't care if a guy had serious guitar chops either.
/r/seduction10/04/22 12:46 AM

I'm not getting anything from the apps, there's been such an increasingly diminishing return. I used to be able to get matches but no longer, and I'm better looking than I was since I lift and all. Idk if hitting up girls I knew in the past would work either. Really I don't have a good way of meeting girls. In the past I took what I could get from the apps but I'm not willing to settle for less anymore. I just want to date reasonably attractive women but any girls fitting that description are ge…

Just remembered as well nearly 8-9 years ago I was talking about the aforementioned stereotype with a friend of mine, and he had a good point. If I remember correctly he said, "Girls like guys who just occasionally pick up and play a guitar, not somebody who takes it as seriously as you do." I think there might be some truth to that.
/r/seduction09/04/22 08:36 PM

I used to dress up more for gigs in order to stand out but I don't really do that anymore; in the past I would dress like how Jimmy Page did circa 1969. Also I wonder if being a bass player has something to do with all this, it's not like I'm a lead guitarist or anything and even though I have a decent singing voice I don't sing lead that often. On bass I've always played very well, it's what I'm best at by far in terms of what instruments I play. In my band I've always been arguably the best lo…

As far as genre it's progressive rock, which not a lot of girls listen to. Also I'm primarily a bass player, I haven't played lead guitar in a band for about eight years. As far as stage presence and playing I've been compared to John Entwistle or John Paul Jones, standing by the drums all chill while playing complex parts on bass. I used to dress up for gigs a lot more in the past, would wear flared trousers and floral shirts and the like but I kinda stopped doing that. Apart from the girls thi…

What sort of self-reflection? I don't think I'm being too picky, I just want to date girls that are decently attractive, not anyone who looks like a model or like she's made of plastic. Since I started lifting a few years ago I look a bit better than I did but I seldom match with anyone on apps anymore. I've hooked up with less attractive women on apps in the past but I can't see myself doing something like that again. It's very odd since I've turned down women that would have been better. I've …

I haven't had much luck with cold approach thus far, what can I do to get better?

I guess it's early imprinting. In late middle school I tried talking to girls a lot but got nowhere; I had heard there were things said about me behind my back because of it, so early on I decided to stop trying. My parents always wanted me to have a good social life but in those days I was pretty cringy. Thus in high school I had very few interactions with girls since I had convinced myself that talking to them wasn't worth it, as I already stated. This of course lead to me having to play catch…

Yeah ok that makes sense. I've had a few female friends in the past but that was a while ago.
/r/seduction23/03/22 08:44 PM
1

Yeah that's correct, not really expecting to meet women doing those two things. Not engaging women in person has been something ingrained in my mind for over a decade so it's been difficult to reprogram my mind in that respect. I can see why I only relied on apps in the past; it was less daunting to me to talk to girls that way, and communicating via text I could pause and give more thought to what I was saying. Like I said earlier, as early as high school I had convinced myself that trying to t…

I've been taking small steps to improve socialization at least. I talk to a few of the same guys at the gym and occasionally I also go to the local Hindu temple since I converted to Hinduism last year. There's always people there to talk to, and the food is free.

For what it's worth my hair is shorter than it was in the past. When I was like 19/20 it was more than halfway to waist length, now it's usually a little over shoulder length. Was thinking of getting it cut like that of György Szalai but that may be overkill. I don't think I'd have it any shorter than shoulder length.

I do think my social skills kinda got worse over time. Even though I didn't peak in high school overall I feel like socially I kinda peaked in high school, at least so far in my life. That said back then I was much more ignorant about a lot of things but aspects of my social life were better just because it was interacting with more people in general. College was somewhat more isolating for whatever reason and then of course the past couple years didn't help. It's plausible that my ability to in…

My diet is good. I don't eat white sugar, white four, processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, sweets or candy of any description, soy products, canola oil, anything breaded or deep fried, or anything with artificial dyes in it. Yet I still look like how I do. I even got tested for Klinefelter Syndrome and Cushing Syndrome just to make sure there was nothing hormonally wrong and both tests came back negative. I think I just got unlucky with the genes that dictate fat storage. I've actually bee…

Then yeah there is no hope lol. I always fold at the slightest displays of competition no matter what. Guess I should get used to only hooking up with girls I don't really like
/r/seduction22/03/22 01:39 AM

My main fear isn't as much as coming across as creepy as it is either trying to talk to girls and getting nowhere and making a fool out of myself, or just reverting to not trying due to me seeing no point in it. I would never act in an overly thirsty manner, I can assure you. But as I said part of the problem is if I sense any degree of competition I immediately back off and tell myself it isn't worth it. Other guys are much better at getting good reactions out of women than I am, so any attempt…

Ok I'll see if I can give this a shot, it's a long shot and I'm unlikely to find anyone worthwhile but it's better than apps I guess. At the very least it'll mean I'm doing something different
/r/seduction22/03/22 01:22 AM

This sounds like good advice but I'm still a bit apprehensive about following it. I'm almost certain that if I go to any group relating to my interests it'll just turn out to be a complete sausage fest. Like a bunch of dudes there for the same reason I am and like no girls.

One thing I am trying to work on is to lose the remaining midsection fat I have but it's been very hard. I could probably be famine levels of emaciated and still have a gut and love handles. Just genetics I guess. The last time I was below 20% bodyfat was when I was in middle school. I don't look fat when clothed just extra midsection fat if I remove my shirt. Also I have excess fat on my face for some reason but idk what to do about that. Other than those shortcomings I've gotten pretty sizable…

But like I said in my post it would feel insincere joining something just to try to meet girls, plus any women would be able to sense that's what I was doing. And also if I joined any group it probably would be mostly guys there, maybe like two girls that are already spoken for
/r/seduction22/03/22 12:50 AM

What should I do then?

I usually look pretty bad in photos no matter who takes them, nor do I have any female friends really. For whatever reason I'm very unphotogenic even though I've been described as good looking by people other than my relatives. I still have far from the ideal physique but it's better than it was before at the very least
/r/seduction22/03/22 12:40 AM

Well then it sounds like they were just in the right place at the right time. Luck is probably the biggest factor in all of this in the end.

I've already lowered my standards enough times and hooked up with girls I didn't find all that attractive. Really isn't worth it man, not doing that again.

Guess you're right but I still don't really know any good bars around here. Plus if I really wanted to drink I'd have to take an uber or something.
/r/seduction22/03/22 12:28 AM
1

There's no hope that I would meet any girls thru friends, I only have few friends and the majority of them are in the same position that I am. I truly am sick of having to use apps even though they're pretty much the only way to play, real life is something for me to try before I completely throw in the towel. If I really want sex there's always professionals, right?
/r/seduction22/03/22 12:27 AM

I don't think bars are the way to go tho, already said that

Trying to do something about the social circle but it's taking a while. As for cutting my hair short I wouldn't, if I had short hair I'd look too much like some kind of square, plus I'm in a rock band so it'd look out of place.

I have asthma so my cardio options are a bit limited. With weights I do the olympic lifts mainly and I'm getting a lot better at it, in a few months I'll be able to clean 100 kg at least. Back squat is a bit lower than it should be but I'm working on it. Then again girls really don't care if you lift, they only care if you have abs, which I do not. Nor do I train for aesthetics, I just lift because I like it. Ironically I got way more success before I started lifting but it's probably a coincide…

This really has been a long dry spell. What's funny is last year I could have met up with a few girls from the apps that would have been alright but I chickened out on all of them for some reason. Even went on a actual date with one and just never really went to see her again even though she was interested and actually somewhat good looking. Idk why I did that but now it's come back to bite me.
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:56 PM

That's what I keep saying. It's over then, right?
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:43 PM
2

I mean when I was in college I would try to talk to girls before class and stuff like that but they never really seemed interested at all. But I saw other guys do the same thing sometimes and they would get positive reactions out of them, make them smile/laugh and so on, which I was never able to do.

Finally someone gives me a straight answer lol
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:34 PM

It feels against my own nature, if that makes sense. I've always been a very introverted guy, not much charisma, prefer to keep to myself mostly, etc. Plus girls get approached all the time by more worthy suitors, so my own chances will always be slimmer than that of the competition. Additionally even though I'm not bad looking I probably don't look like the sort of guy most girls would want. Then again I'm not one of those nerdy/gamer types, I'm in a band and everything but it's not the sort of…
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:32 PM

As I said I seriously doubt I'd be able to pull off cold approach
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:21 PM

If I have to go thru that many than it's no different than using apps as far as the potential returns. May as well just go back to the apps and keep banging my head against a wall
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:17 PM
1

I just never think I'm good enough. The average woman has dozens of guys pursuing her at once, so why would any girl pick me? Very early on, when I was just starting to try to date, the first two girls I hooked up with ditched me for someone else. Idk if my inexperience turned them off or something but that stuck with me. They just dropped me for someone else after like two weeks like it was nothing.
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:13 PM

So I shouldn't worry about meeting anyone right now? Just focus on getting my mind in the right place?
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:09 PM

Most of my friends I met in school or college, thru shared interests and the like. I haven't talked to any of my friends from high school in years tho, it's a long story. Really I only have a few friends I actually talk to but most of them live elsewhere so I don't see them much. The one friend I hang out with on a regular basis is the guitarist in my band, but he can be annoying sometimes. Haven't made any friends post college but then again I spend most of my free time by myself. Also what giv…

I know it's not a good strategy, hence why I said I couldn't count on it. I'm willing to try irl I just have to figure out where
/r/seduction21/03/22 10:01 PM

Idk if I'm willing to do that tho. Seems like less of a return than the apps even
/r/seduction21/03/22 09:59 PM

Ok this makes sense, will keep in mind
/r/seduction21/03/22 09:58 PM

Anything to fill the void about never having the sort of love life I've wanted. Always knew I'd have issues with this sort of thing my entire life
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:53 PM
3

That's a good point, but naturally I'm very negative about everything. When I was younger I thought that thinking positively was just deluding oneself, like I was lying to myself about how I actually am or how things are going. Always subconsciously thought that pessimism was a more realistic view. May not be true but that's what always went on inside my head.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:50 PM
1

I don't know. Maybe it's how I come across or something. It always just feels kinda forced when I try to do that, like I'm reading off of a script.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:48 PM
2

There's also the issue that I rarely go out in public as it is. What's also ironic is that I'm in a band and I've played shows at bars all across the US but I'd never think of trying to talk to girls at a bar.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:46 PM
1

That's another problem I have, with any competition I just fold. When I was in high school and college, if there was a girl I liked from a distance and other guys were talking to her I would just back off and give up on the prospect of trying my luck. Like I'd always just tell myself with the competition it wasn't worth the effort. In real life all I've been able to do is admire girls from afar and tell myself that's as far as I'd be able to go. As if I can't touch, but only look

I have therapist already, I've been going to therapists for over a decade now. I definitely have feelings of inadequacy and the like, it's been that way ever since I was a child. Even as a kid I would always say very negative things about myself all the time. I try to socialize with people but for the most part I just prefer to hang out by myself. I hang out with the guitarist in my band mostly, but at the gym I usually talk to some guys there too. Other than that I don't really do much, just ch…
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:37 PM

Hmm perhaps I should just not worry about it at all, try to think about something else. I'm just tired of apps but real life probably wouldn't bring me any better results. Dating should be fun but I've gotten little enjoyment out of it. I've gotten much more out of weightlifting or music than I have trying to meet girls. Maybe focus on that instead?
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:31 PM
1

Any time I've tried to talk to women in real life it's always felt forced. I've seen other guys engage women and make them smile/laugh etc. Talking to me they just seem bored or not very interested.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:29 PM
3

Maybe what I should work on first is dealing with self doubt. As I said elsewhere in the comments I missed out on a lot of the normal social milestones, I had no success with girls in my formative years. It affects my perception of things to this day.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:26 PM
2

How should I even start? I would feel completely out of place going anywhere just to try and chat up women. With the whole metoo thing or whatever it seems sort of risky if you don't look like the sort of guy that would appear on the cover of a magazine. For me to try and learn how to meet women irl feels like if an ostrich tried to learn how to fly.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:07 PM
2

The apps don't even work for me anymore and I got sick of them. Plus most of the girls I met from the apps weren't really what I wanted, I just went with it because I had no other options. I feel like I need to do something different hence why I felt the need to do a complete overhaul.
/r/seduction21/03/22 08:02 PM
1

Ok I'll read that, I've read another one of Burn's works before
/r/seduction16/03/22 03:15 PM
1

Well then what do I need to do?
/r/seduction16/03/22 02:53 PM
3

Apps are a scam for most guys I'm starting to realize. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This is exactly my experience with them
/r/seduction16/03/22 02:52 PM
2

I want to try real life but I don't think I'd find girls that are my type at clubs
/r/seduction16/03/22 02:50 PM
1

This is another thing, before even thinking of approaching irl I would have to work thru all this mental stuff. Would probably take a long time until I could even think of trying my luck irl. I've used apps exclusively for so long that all of what I know about meeting women is solely from experience using apps. In my formative years I never learned how to meet women the normal way so my development in that department has always been stunted.
/r/seduction16/03/22 12:39 AM
1

I hate dancing tho, any other suggestions?
/r/seduction16/03/22 12:29 AM
1

I just have a hard time believing it would work for me. As I said if I try to approach irl the girls are never interested. Plus I don't think any women would appreciate me approaching them. Therein lies the paradox. Apps really do suck but if I stop using them I don't have any other option.
/r/seduction16/03/22 12:26 AM
1

Yeah I mean I know that but it's even more of a roll of the dice than apps
/r/seduction16/03/22 12:21 AM
2

But how can I do that when my social circle is small and I don't really go anywhere? There just aren't any opportunities to do that
/r/seduction16/03/22 12:10 AM
1

How can women sense my attitude just by looking at my tinder profile?
/r/seduction14/03/22 04:43 PM
1

I don't think it's just my attitude, my entire personality and lifestyle is completely not conducive with meeting women
/r/seduction14/03/22 12:00 AM
2

I've heard that avoidant attachment thing thrown around before, it's plausible. It's like I'm so used to not getting any attention from women that if one is actually interested it throws me off and I get kinda weirded out if that makes sense. I would also feel awkward approaching irl no matter what setting. It seems much more difficult than using apps and for an introverted guy like me it's contrary to my nature in some respects.
/r/seduction13/03/22 11:32 PM
2

I certainly am not demanding girls that are out of my league. I'm just trying to date girls in my league, but those ones are only talking to guys a couple tiers above them. Women only date up these days. I have no idea why I had more success before lifting, it's probably just a coincidence but it's definitely ironic to think about. No idea why I chickened out, those girls would have probably been alright but I still found some excuse. A lot of times when girls actually say they're interested I b…

I doubt I could meet anyone interesting at a bar, and also approaching irl would just be me making a fool out of myself. Online is far easier for me despite how brutal it can be. I wouldn't fare well approaching at bars at all.
/r/seduction13/03/22 11:14 PM

Good to finally hear from someone in a similar situation. You're probably right, I should just do what Marcus Aurelius says and focus on the things that actually matter. It's really odd as well for me to think that I met pretty much all the girls I've been with before I started lifting. Getting girls was never the primary reason I train but I thought it would make me somewhat more attractive at the very least. Now I've been in a dry spell lasting over two years but I have sizable gains and my we…

We've been trying to find a drummer for over two years, still no luck. Most of the shows I've played there have been very few women there.
/r/seduction13/03/22 09:16 PM

I've never tried meeting women in bars, pretty much all the women I've been with I met online. Idk if I could pull off cold approaches like that, I'm naturally quite introverted and I have no idea what I would even do or say in a situation like that. It's a good idea on paper but with my personality and everything I doubt I'll be able to pull it off without major changes on my part.
/r/seduction13/03/22 09:00 PM
2

Thanks man, but if I stay off tinder then I really have no way to meet girls at all. I also feel like very few girls are actually of any interest to me, and I always say that if there's a girl out there who's good for me she's probably already taken anyway. If I continue I'll just be stuck settling for girls I really have no interest in at all. To this day I've never met any woman I've found truly interesting, never have had any "spark" or whatever with any of them.
/r/seduction13/03/22 08:52 PM

No wonder I couldn't find it anywhere
/r/seduction13/03/22 07:11 PM

I don't want to have to do that but I've never had good luck with women, and my development in that department has always been stunted. My view on women/relationships is shaped by my lack of access to those things in my formative years. I sometimes think I'm better off just forgetting about it. Maybe I only wanted success with women in order to live up to a social norm, who knows. I've pretty much accepted the fact that any women who's attracted to me probably won't be the sort that I'm attracte…
/r/seduction13/03/22 06:50 PM

Guess I shouldn't think about women at all right now then. I'm fed up with dating apps, fed up with trying to meet women and failing, sick of only meeting girls that are less attractive since those are usually the only ones I can attract right now. Maybe give up on women for the time being?
/r/seduction13/03/22 06:47 PM

So I should just focus on inner game and not worry about women right now? I feel like I have to make major changes now or I'll never be successful in that department

My band hasn't had any regular gigs in a few years since we haven't been able to find a drummer after the last guy left. Never had much luck trying to meet girls at gigs since the kind of stuff we play isn't exactly what women listen to, plus I have never felt comfortable trying to talk to girls irl. I have been described as interesting before; I know a lot about many different topics, I'm well traveled, I know a few languages, and I've made five albums with my band and gone on tour twice. That …

I think one of my problems is that it all seems so daunting to try real life when I've used dating apps as a crutch the whole time. Literally all I know about game comes from meeting women online so irl I'd feel like a fish out of water. Perhaps I should take small steps at first?
/r/seduction13/03/22 02:47 AM

That's a good point, my social circle is pretty damn small. Aside from family members pretty much the only person I hang out with regularly is the guitarist in my band, and he's kind of annoying sometimes. In my spare time I'm mostly alone except for the occasional jam session or going to the gym. There's some other guys at the gym I talk to but there's like no women there that are my age except for one or two. I've had mustache for over a year, not sure if I want to part with it now. I don't think girls universally hate mustaches. If that were true no man with mustache would have a girlfriend.
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:30 PM

I just feel like there's not much I can do. My fate is probably already sealed. That said I should probably give up rather than settle. If there's one thing I've gotten out of this thread that's it.
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:23 PM

A lot of guys with long hair and mustaches have girlfriends. Why would I have to cut my hair? Maybe mustache will go but I do like how I look with it. I would look way worse with short hair and no mustache.
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:21 PM
1

Like I said perhaps I should just forget it and cut my losses at this point. I don't think I'll ever have the sort of girls I want anyway. It's clear I don't really have much to offer. Why did I even make this thread anyway?
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:20 PM
1

It's not that I feel entitled, and I'm not even saying I'd want a girl who looks like some sort of model or something. I just want to date girls in my league but I can't even do that. What can I do if I'm very introverted and don't really have much charisma at all?
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:18 PM
1

I hope not
/r/seduction09/03/22 09:16 PM

Well then I should just give up, I don't want to have to date girls I'm not attracted to. Perhaps I wasn't meant for this sort of thing anyway

Come on man that's a bit harsh
/r/seduction09/03/22 08:13 PM

I can assure you I am not a troll. Idk where I'd even go to meet girls, probably wouldn't have much luck at all most places. Maybe I'll try playing guitar on the street once the weather warms up, that's one thing I can think of.
/r/seduction09/03/22 08:11 PM

Hmm maybe would work but the sort of music I play isn't even the kind that girls listen to. At my band's shows it's always been more than 90% guys.

I actually get fewer matches on hinge for some reason, and pretty much none on bumble. Tinder has been the most reliable but that's not saying much. Wouldn't say I look like Joe Dirt but a lot of people have told me I look like Blake from Workaholics.

Maybe I'd pm a pic but I usually look horrible in photographs. As for how I look like imagine a cross between Kurt Vile and Blake from Workaholics, but less skinny and with broader shoulders.

I'm relegated to using dating apps because I know approaching IRL wouldn't work and I have no opportunities to do so anyway. I feel so awkward doing that and I feel like it would only lead to me embarrassing myself, and also I get the impression that no women want to be approached by some weird guy like me. Approaching online is much easier for me. My band hasn't had a lot of gigs in the past few years since we can't find a drummer, and even then the sort of music we play is exactly the kind tha…

Approaching IRL has never worked for me, and I don't really even go anywhere where I could do that. I think it would lead to even worse results.

I know it's odd. When I was in college I was in the loudest, heaviest, most technically proficient band in town and I still had pretty much no female attention except for a couple short flings that ended badly. Even then those girls I just met on tinder instead of at one of my shows. Then again girls don't really listen to the kind of stuff I play. As for the mustache I guess I could part with it but I think I look better with one tbh. I can grow a goatee but not a full beard. If I could grow a …

That's exactly what I mean man, unless you have abs girls don't care if you lift at all. There's plenty of guys who don't train who could pull way hotter girls than I'm capable of doing. Not to say my primary reason for training is to get girls, which it certainly isn't. I lift because I enjoy it, as far as training I mostly do the olympic lifts.

People have said that before but there's a lot of guys with long hair who have girlfriends. But as I said before I would look far worse with short hair, and as a member of a rock band cutting my hair would make me look out of place.
/r/seduction09/03/22 07:39 PM

Those were flukes tho, and it was a few years ago that it happened. Idk if I'd be able to pull that off today. I have tinder plus so I can see who swipes right on me. 90% of the time it's either fat women who don't even look feminine, bots, or girls trying to sell me something. The market really is that skewed, and due to my personality and lack of a large social circle I'm pretty much forced to use dating apps exclusively.
/r/seduction09/03/22 07:13 PM

I've always been a very negative person so that makes sense I guess. But how would girls on tinder be able to perceive that just by looking at my profile?
/r/seduction09/03/22 07:04 PM

probably like 4-5 out of 10. Landed a 7 or 8 once or twice. The one gf I had was a solid 7. I myself am probably 6-7 out of 10.

It doesn't seem like it'll budge. The ironic thing is that after lifting I've become more attractive than I've ever been but all of the action I've gotten happened before I started going to the gym. One would think that lifting would help attract better women but I get fewer tinder matches than ever now. Has the market really become that skewed? Like I said girls really don't care if you lift unless you have abs, but I thought it would at least help somewhat.

When will I know when it's time to give up?
/r/seduction09/03/22 06:49 PM

Guess I'll have to get used to being alone for a very long time then. Like I said girls date up usually so someone like me would have slim pickings

So I should take the gamble and wait? I'm already 26 though, can't imagine the situation would be better at age 30. I don't even think I'm capable of attracting girls in my league, they're all dating guys a few tiers above me I think.

I mean I’m in a rock band, I would look weird on stage with short hair combined with my usual stage attire. I appreciate your constructive criticism and I’m willing to do things to change, but I don’t see why I’d cut my hair. It’s already less than half the length it was a few years ago, and I think it’s at a good length now. Plenty of guys with long hair have girlfriends, I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal to not cut it short
/r/seduction16/11/21 11:47 PM

I used to straighten it but that was back in high school. In those days I would regularly straighten it. Idk why i would have to, did Plant straighten his? I take a few supplements for hair, like biotin, inositol, etc. I also use the nicer shampoo and conditioner, not the kind that you get at the grocery store.

I think it looks good enough, I'm not willing to cut it short. I get it trimmed every couple months, and while it's still pretty long it's much shorter than it previously was. Also I may lose my hair in the future, so I want to enjoy having long hair when I can still have it. Haven't had any signs of that happening yet but I think it's bound to happen sooner or later.

I did aikido/aikijujitsu when I was a kid and was pretty good at it, perhaps I can learn judo or something. I’m not really lifting for aesthetics either

I'm not really that ripped anyway, I do the olympic lifts almost exclusively so most develoment has been in shoulders, traps, quads, etc. Have never been close to having abs, and I've always hovered around 20% bodyfat or so. Really my biggest physique weakness is that I still have a bit more midsection fat than I would like.
/r/seduction31/10/21 10:19 PM

I can't really grow a full beard, I can only grow mustache and goatee. I at least don't have as obnoxious of a mustache as I did earlier this year; up until a month or so ago I had a handlebar mustache with the ends curled up. Ended up being impractical to maintain so I did away with that.

I wouldn't say I'm as brutal looking as murderface, but perhaps the mustache shall go. I live in a fairly big city of about a million people already, but one thing I am thinking of doing is moving to either Austria or Switzerland in a year or two. My hair is already much shorter than in the past. A few years ago it was almost to my waist, but now it's a little over shoulder length. I could probably lose about 15 more pounds. I used to weigh nearly 240 but I'm down to 217 now. It would be good if…

If you need a training program to follow I would highly recommend reading the book The Strongest Shall Survive by Bill Starr. The program described in that book is pretty simple and straightforward and it has good nutrition advice too. I'm pretty sure it's available in pdf form somewhere on the internet. Stronglifts is another good program. Perhaps look at both of those and pick which one you like more.

23m here, about to graduate from college. I used to be in the same sort of situation as yourself. When I was in high school I got nowhere with girls, I was insecure and socially awkward. It also didn’t help that I went to a very small school; since there were only 50 people in my graduating class I didn’t have many options anyway. As a result, by the time I got to college I was already a couple years behind the curve. I didn’t get my first kiss until 19, and didn’t actually sleep with a woman un…

Your ego is holding you down It's not easy to get a grip of this, unfortunately. I started with girls comparatively late as I've said before; I went to a small private school where only the most popular guys could have girlfriends (the social environment was just naturally like this), and all the girls were fairly stuck-up, so it's not like I had any luck there. By the time I got to college I had no idea what I was doing and had to make up for lost time; I didn't actually get laid at all until m…

Yeah, I’ll be moving back to where I grew up after. That’s exactly what I’m talking about though, if I got a gf in college now the days of that relationship would automatically be severely numbered. That said, isn’t it a lot harder to meet women after college? In this regard I’m kind of in a bad spot. I can try my luck while I’m still in school, only to catch it at the tail end, or wait until after I graduate, and have even more difficulty meeting women than already is the case now.

until you establish some type of exclusive relationship That's another thing I'm worried about, I never get as far as that. My interactions with any individual woman always run their course before it ever gets to that point. It's quite disheartening.

I at least made out with every girl I had a serious chance with, but never took it any further. I figured that once I had done that a few times with a girl then I could take it all the way. However, they always lost interest in me before I felt comfortable having sex. Since I've never done it before I feel very insecure about escalation in that regard, because I would come across as very obviously inexperienced.

I'll try and answer these best I can. The farthest I've been with a girl is fingering. So far, I've at least made out with all the ones I've met I have all my goals written down in my journals. I think they think I'm not worth their time because I believe they can sense my insecurity. I don't think they see me as someone they could date. Other than women, I believe my life is going quite well I don't think I look half bad, but my sense of style wouldn't appeal to most women. I look like I could …

Sometimes I see girls in the crowd, but I'm in the kind of band that plays until closing, so everybody's usually gone by the time our sets finish. Even if thats not the case I still have to help carry everything into the van, so I couldn't really talk to girls after shows.
