Recently I've been working on actually talking to women in real life since apps are a huge racket. I've been going out more and making more of an effort to socialize in places I frequent. With most of these efforts I'm not really trying to pick up girls or get numbers or anything, at the moment I'm merely getting myself used to being more sociable than before.

However, there's this one cashier at my local grocery store who's often there when I am. She's kinda pretty but not intimidatingly so. I've made small talk with her a couple times just to test the waters so far. I'm not really expecting to get a date or a number out of this, I'm more just trying to have fun and see where it leads. A lot of posts on this sub say one shouldn't try his luck attempting to get cashiers' numbers, and there's plenty of reasoning why that would be the case, but conversely there's also been reports on here in which people have actually succeeded. Reading the FRs has at least gotten me curious about what I would need to do to pursue that provided I get a good rapport.

On one hand I'm decent looking; long blonde hair, green eyes, semi-jacked, but on the other pretty much all my previous conquests I first met online so I have extremely limited experience picking up women irl from start to finish. Like I said this girl is cute but not a complete knockout, I haven't really felt nervous talking to her thus far. Part of me wants to see where this interaction can lead, but the context of all of this makes it a tough call. At the very least I won't feel bad if I fail since I've heard trying to game cashiers is a long shot. Am I a fool for even thinking I could get at least a number out of this? Are cashiers worth trying to pursue or should I try to meet girls via other channels? Guys who have successfully pulled cashiers, how did you do it? I really hope I'm not just asking a bunch of stupid questions.
