Well said. "You don't know what it's like" is a common phrase, but the people saying it often don't realize that it goes many ways. Women don't know what it's like being a man, men don't know what it's like being a woman, and so on.

However, even if one doesn't know, empathy is still possible with an open mind.

Good luck with the transition. One of the reasons why I am here is to examine what being a male means on the other side of the equation. I had considered switching genders, but at this point I am more than happy to stay as I am. It was a strange feeling putting myself in the position of being a woman and considering the social implications of what beliefs I had about men might mean from that perspective.

Welcome to sanity. You're awesome.

I generally find that trans people (like... genuine trans people as opposed to "I'm trans because Tumblr tells me to hate the gender binary" trans) are islands of sanity. Ditto with queer women (again, really queer women rather than politically queer women).

But yeah, as a dude who breaks most of the gender rules because he hates them, you're fine by me. I wish you the best for your transition and I hope that your future brings nothing but happiness!

I paraphrased you slightly but the intent is the same. Do you accept that when women say "wear whatever I want" they mean clothes designed to look attractive to men? Things that obviously show sexual signals, low cuts tops, short skirts etc. What they actually want is to control which men respond to those signals. No woman complains about being able to wear a boiler suit.

MR gets a bad rap I think for two reasons. 1. Feminists are afraid that people will realize that men don't have it as easy and perfect as they like to claim and they will lose some of their sway and 2. A few of the people here are women hating dicks.

They will try and push you to feminism but you are better off keeping an open mind and thinking critically for yourself, another thing feminism discourages.

Good luck with your transition, it must be very difficult to go through, even in this day and age.

But your train of thought is a little off here. When someone has an issue with something, you shouldn't belittle their issue just because you feel that you have it worse.

Women should be and pretty much are allowed to wear what they want. And men should be allowed to look as please at their cleavage (within reason obviously, and harassment and touching is never ok). And the same goes with your issue. You pretty much can wear what you want. But you have to weigh whether the reactions you notice on other people will cause YOU discomfort.

If you still have a dick, you are not a woman. I don't care how much people say I should accept it. I don't have to, regardless of how politically incorrect people want my opinion to be. Just because I feel like a black man, relate to black men, have interests of black men, doesn't mean I am a black man. You are a very good cross dresser.
