Considering that accusations of abuse are taken far more seriously when directed at a man and issued from a woman's mouth, it's men who would be disproportionately hurt. Women don't need access to divorce to end abuse; they can just dial 911.

No fault divorce in theory is a good thing, treating all men as being at fault in divorce is a bad thing.

Hnh? Jeez, Amanda, I'm not following your thinking here. Giving the abusive partner will help rather than hurt women, because more control is good, right? /s

Who was that that was saying Marcotte was moving away form her misandry? She's the same toxic sewer of misandry she ever was. She blithely assumes the man is the abusive partner.

Waiting periods will hurt women though, because women initiate most divorces. Why can't she just come out and tell the truth.

No fault divorce is a good idea. The only problem is when it turns into a fight with lawyers and attorneys. If neither person is at fault for the divorce, then why can't couples split any shared assists, keep any property they owned from before the marriage and go their separate ways. Or in other words "how come I can't just pack up my shit and leave". Alimony should only ever be considered when one partner is so poor they are at risk of ending up homeless.

Excellent. No Fault Divorce is a terrible thing; enacting it was the worst thing Reagan did in his presidency.
